Cookie Monster Did a Reddit AMA and It's the Most Wholesome Thing Ever | 22 Words

Every once in a while, the Internet provides us with something so hilarious, lovely, and wholesome that we all decide that maybe, just maybe, we don't have to delete every single social media account we have and live the rest of our lives off the grid.

Most recently, the Internet brought us the gift of a Reddit AMA from none other than Cookie Monster.

If you are unfamiliar with the concept of an AMA, here's a quick primer. AMA stands for "Ask Me Anything." The best-performing AMAs are done by various celebrities. The many millions of Reddit users can ask anything (hence the name), and the subject of the AMA answers it. Usually, they're a great way to learn about celebrities' real lives, or even learn some behind-the-scenes facts about a project they worked on.

If you ask me, Cookie Monster's AMA honestly deserves to be in the Internet Hall of Fame.

Everyone loves Cookie Monster.

In fact, if you were to give me the option of eating 15 cookies or spending 15 minutes with Cookie Monster, I would choose Cookie Monster. That's just how lovable the guy is.

Cookie Monster recently took to Reddit to host his very own AMA.

People asked all kinds of questions, and Cookie Monster responded to each and every one. In character, of course. He's a professional. Here are some of my favorite interactions:

First, the question of cookie collections:

from IAmA
I have so much in common with Cookie Monster in this regard. My own collection keeps disappearing, too.

This is another great question:

from IAmA
And the answer is even greater.

Cookie Monster Lifehack!

from IAmA
I believe this is also known as The Mustache Approach.

Have you ever wondered about Cookie Monster's favorite song?

from IAmA
For anyone unaware, Cookie Monster is referencing this classic Sesame Street tune in his answer. Did he just become the best monster on the Internet?

Very sage advice.

from IAmA
That's really all you need to know if you're a Girl Scout selling cookies. It's not like you have to convince anyone to like cookies.

Here's the hot goss:

from IAmA
Reporting that Oscar is still a grouch is sort of like saying that Big Bird is still big. Come on, Cookie Monster! We want the real dirt!

How can we make this happen?

from IAmA
This is something I didn't realize I needed in my life until now. I hope this collab happens during my lifetime.

If you're wondering who Cookie Monster's favorite person is...

from IAmA
...It's gotta be Sir Ian McKellen. Give Cookie Monster one cookie and you have a friend for life. Give him two cookies and you have a friend for eternity.

But how does Cookie Monster feel about waffles?

from IAmA
Oh man, I am in total agreement with Cookie Monster on this one. If you've never had a stroopwafel before, you should really try to fix that ASAP.

He did the monster math:

from IAmA
Real talk, though: 3.14 chocolate chips per bite does seem like the perfect amount. I think this guy is on to something.

And now for one of my very favorite parts of the whole AMA:

from IAmA
First, Cookie Monster asked whether "more cookies" counts as separate from just "cookies."

Eventually, he decided that was his final answer.

from IAmA
Makes sense. He is Cookie Monster, after all.

And then this happened:

from IAmA
I expected the Cookie Monster AMA to be enjoyable. I did not expect to laugh out loud several times.

This one will make you go "awwwww!"

from IAmA
It's true. Sharing is hard to do sometimes. But if Cookie Monster wants us to share, then I guess we should probably share.

I think we all could have guessed the answer to this one:

from IAmA
Fun fact: the "cookies" Cookie Monster eats on the show are actually rice crackers painted to look like cookies. Don't tell him that, though.

He has to draw the line somewhere.

from IAmA
I like to consider myself pretty adventurous when it comes to cookies, but I would also draw the line at sardine cookies.

I'm not crying; you're crying!

from IAmA
Is somebody cutting onion cookies in here or what?

Cookie Monster is no stranger to technology.

from IAmA
I'm imagining that whenever Cookie Monster is told to delete his cookies, he is both shocked and appalled.

Fair point.

from IAmA
I hadn't really considered it before, but a hockey puck does look a bit like a cookie! Now I like hockey, too.

A true hero.

from IAmA
I've always been a big fan of Leonardo Da Crunchy, too! I wonder what his favorite cookie is.

This was truly Cookie Monster's time to shine:

from IAmA
C is for cookie! If you take away nothing else, remember this forever.

Cookies from around the world.

from IAmA
As long as they don't contain sardines, Cookie Monster isn't picky. We should all be more like Cookie Monster, don't you think?

I also applaud his views on raisins:

from IAmA
This makes me want to give oatmeal raisin cookies another try. Maybe.

This one is quite the softball question:

from IAmA
Of course, he likes ice cream cookie sandwiches. Cookies and ice cream. I mean, come on, people.

Have you ever wondered who Cookie Monster's best friend is?

from IAmA
If so, you're gonna have to keep wondering. It doesn't look like we're going to find out anytime soon.

I wasn't ready for this one:

from IAmA
I think I'd side with Cookie Monster on this one. Although, I have to admit that a giant cookie does sound pretty darn good.

Here's another one that made me laugh:

Ask silly questions, get silly answers!

Everyone agreed that Cookie Monster made the Internet a better place with his AMA.

from IAmA
I can't wait to see what he does next on the Internet. Share this with someone who loves Cookie Monster!
