Despite most people hating on her comments, some TikTok users came to her defense…

Praising Costco for looking after their workers and calling attention to their low turnover, one wrote: “Reasons why you [barely] see Costco hiring cause they treat and pay their employees very well.”

Another Costco employee added: “Costco employee here […] Love my job. We’re definitely taken care of.”

Tiktoker @lilyleia also highlighted that those who think they should be paid more than so called “easier jobs” are the real problem here…

She said, stitching the video: “What’s crazy to me is this happens so often, where people in certain fields think that they should be making way more money than people working ‘easier jobs’ like retail or food service or whatever.

“They always b**ch about how these people should be making less instead of how they should be making more.”

Another added that instead of being annoyed that someone is earning more, that they should be questioning their employer why they aren’t being paid enough…

“If you think it’s unfair, that you and this person make the same pay, maybe you should be upset with your employer, instead of another working-class person,” they wrote.

Here in the U.S. minimum wage varies depending on what state you live in, and according to US News, the government set the minimum wage to $7.25 per hour…

However, in California, employers are required to pay their employees a minimum wage of fourteen dollars per hour, due to the cost of living being more expensive than other areas of America.

Although this information can be tricky for some. For those who have spent years in college and have countless student debts it can be hard to hear that someone with less qualifications is earning more or equal your pay…

However, it’s important to note @lilyleia‘s message, and understand that no one should hate on others who are working hard for their money, no matter what field they decide to go into.

Another TikToker also pointed out that: “The whole ‘easy job’ thing p***es me off. People struggle and ‘easy’ things and tasks can be extremely difficult.”

What do you think about Natalie’s pay, is it too high?
