Yes, a farting dog.

The first thing we need to understand is that dogs, much like humans, have a digestive system that produces gas.

And what happens when there’s too much gas? It needs to find a way out.

That’s where the farting comes in. Now imagine this scenario playing out in a confined space.

  via Getty

A place where there’s no immediate escape from the aftermath of your dog’s gaseous release.

The anticipation alone is enough to set your adrenaline pumping.

We all know how smelly farts can be and dogs are no exception. But do keep in mind that they don’t do it out of spite or to ruin your cozy evening.

  via Getty

They simply can’t help it. In fact, the more confined the space, the more concentrated the odor, making the whole experience even more… exhilarating, shall we say.

But here’s the exciting part – your dog’s farts can actually tell you a lot about their health.

  via Getty

Yes, it’s not just about giggles and pinched noses. If your dog’s farts are too frequent or particularly smelly, it might be an indication of some dietary issues or health problems.

So as gross as it may sound, paying attention to your dog’s farts could be crucial for their well-being.

So, next time when you and your fluffy friend are in a confined space and you smell something questionable, don’t be quick to judge.

Look at it as an adventure – a hilarious and smelly journey into the digestive system of your dog.

A couple – Gill and Warren Press – embarked on a 13-hour flight with Singapore Airlines, all excited for the journey and the destination that lay ahead.

However, little did they know, their trip would become one to remember for a whole different reason.

  via Getty

Imagine being stuck on a plane for 13 hours next to a… farting dog.

  via Getty

A combination of hilarity and discomfort that could only happen in real life.

  via Getty

And well, let’s just say it was quite a fragrant expression.

  via Getty

“I said to my husband, ‘You need to sort this. We can’t have a dog sitting next to us for this length of time,'” Gill told the Business Insider.

The couple endured this aromatic ordeal with as much grace as possible, smiling through the awkward situation.

Once they landed though, they decided that their patience and tolerance deserved recognition.

  via Getty

So they approached the airline and explained their plight.

  via Getty

In an incredible turn of events, the airline agreed and issued them a refund of $1,400 – talk about turning misfortune into fortune.

  via Getty

They were initially only given two $73 gift vouchers, which they didn’t feel was good enough. “That’s the least they could do,” Gill said. “If they wanted to be really nice, they could’ve given us way more.”

  via Getty

“The principal wasn’t about the money, it was truly about making people accountable. I expect to see a baby. I expect young children. But I don’t expect a dog.”

  via Getty

But wait, this story gets better.

  via Getty

Now, most people would take the money and run. Maybe splurge on something nice or put it away for a rainy day.

  via Getty

But not this couple! They decided to donate the entire refund to an animal charity. Isn’t that amazing?

A farting dog on a flight led to a $1,400 donation to an animal charity. Let’s just pause for a second to appreciate how wonderfully strange and beautiful that is.

The couple could have kept the money for themselves but they chose instead to give it away to help animals in need.

This story is heartwarming on so many levels. It shows us that even in awkward situations there can be a silver lining.

  via Getty

It reminds us of the importance of laughter and maintaining a good sense of humor.

But most importantly, it demonstrates how acts of kindness can often come from the most unexpected places.

Meanwhile, a statement from Singapore Airlines, per Business Insider, said,  “SIA endeavors to notify customers who may be seated next to an assistance dog prior to boarding.”

  via Getty

“In circumstances where customers seated next to an assistance dog request to be moved, we will assist to re-seat customers within the same cabin if space permits.”

In this instance, we were unable to move Mr and Mrs Press within the same cabin as the Premium Economy Class cabin was full.”
