Courtney is best known for their modeling model career, for being a social media personality, and for their appearance on the U.K. reality TV show, Celebrity Big Brother, in 2013.

The twenty-six-year-old has lived a whirlwind life in the public eye so far...

But it was their bizarre relationship with fifty-nine-year-old Doug Hutchinson that plunged them even further into the limelight.

And despite the pair eventually marrying (and then splitting up), it caused a lot of controversy and issues for the actor's career, with him being labeled as a "predator."

Courtney has since spoken about the controversial relationship...

And, in a lengthy Instagram post, admitted that they were groomed.

"I've been scared to even speak up about feeling groomed or being verbally abused during the almost 10-year marriage because I was a child and he was 50 when we married but I'm a woman now and it's time for me to put my big girl pants on and speak on this matter."

Addressing Hutchingson directly, they wrote:

"I'll always love you; yet I'll always be angry. You've left me — a child-woman, feeling belittled and confused. These things I shall overcome. I wish you well. But please don't ever do this to another minor again."

But, despite their trauma...

Courtney has emerged on the other end a much stronger person.

In April, the star made an announcement that nobody was expecting.

Courtney announced that they now identify as non-binary, and gave a heartbreaking insight into their struggles with identity and bullying.

Since their announcement, messages of support have been flooding in from fans...

Though that wasn't the end for Stodden and Hutchinson...

In May 2016, Stodden announced they were expecting a child with Hutchinson, however miscarried shortly afterwards.

In January 2017, the pair announced they had separated but were still living together.

However a year later, in March 2018, Stodden filed for divorce. The divorce was finalised in March 2020.

They have had major beef with Chrissy Teigen as well...

Last month, it was revealed that Chrissy Teigan had bullied the then teenage Courtney online, including encouraging Stodden to kill herself.

Stodden said that during the relationship with Hutchinson, no one tried to help them in what was clearly a bad relationship...

Instead, people mocked, slut-shamed and blamed Courtney.

One of those people was Chrissy Teigen....

"[Chrissy] wouldn't just publicly tweet about wanting me to take 'a dirt nap' but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, 'I can't wait for you to die,'" they alleged.

Courtney had previously posted a video calling Teigen a hypocrite after she left Twitter alleging she was being bullied.

"It was just so hypocritical of her," they said. "I think, for me, because I experienced so much harassment and bullying from her when I was just 16 years old, just 17 years old, just 18 years old, at a time when I needed help. Like, I was being abused."

Though Teigen wasn't the only one to bully the young model.

"Joy Behar had a field day with calling me a 'slut.' Courtney Love told me I was a 'whore,'" they recalled. "People came out of the woodwork to beat up on a kid because she was in a situation that she shouldn't have been in." Stodden said the relentless bullying led them to consider suicide on multiple occasions: "As I'm forming, I am being mocked, overtly sexualized, abused — not only in my home, but internationally — and it really did a number on my self-confidence and my sense of worthiness, which I struggle with today."

However, things are starting to look better for the TV personality and their boyfriend.

Stodden began dating movie producer Chris Sheng, 41, in 2017, amid their split with now-ex-husband Doug Hutchison. "I've been dating the same guy for three years, Chris [Sheng]. I am working on myself every day," they said to Us Weekly in March 2020.

Chris Sheng has been dating Stodden since their split with Hutchinson in 2017.

"It isn't easy to believe in love," Stodden added. "It's hard for me to completely open up to him and trust. I'm constantly pulling back and criticizing everything about everything. I need time to heal and hopefully I can learn how to love again fully."

However, they have now revealed some huge news about the relationship...

And as happy as we were, we all had to giggle...

They're engaged!

Thats right, Courtney revealed the news on their Instagram, boasting a huge diamond ring.

However, in true Courtney fashion...

She had it on the wrong hand. Yes, we know... we all had a giggle too.

Fans were quick to point out the issue...

Fans wrote in to say: "Why is it on the right finger?," "Damn! That's a ring! Congrats just please put it on the right finger." Someone else wrote in to say: "You messed up the ring placement, Courtney," and "umm, that's the wrong hand."

Despite all the drama, there seems to be a glimmer of hope for the 26-year-old.
