Cristiano Ronaldo has shared a family photo just 3 days after he announced the death of his twin son.
It is the first photo to feature his newborn baby daughter.
Ronaldo and his wife, Georgina Rodriguez, announced the tragic news that their son had died in a post on Instagram.
They wrote that their son’s passing was “the greatest pain that any parents can feel.”
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
Just 3 days on from the heartbreaking announcement, Ronaldo has taken to Instagram again to share that his wife and newborn baby daughter are home from hospital.
Sharing a family photo which sees Ronaldo holding his newborn daughter, he wrote that they are “grateful” for the life they have welcomed.
“Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us.”
It continued: “We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures. Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family.”
“Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world.”
