Now, Candace has spent over thirty years in the vicious world of show business...

So you'd expect that she'd be used to this kind of meaningless social media drama.

And to top it all off, the forty-four-year-old is a mom of 3.

Evidently, she's no stranger to balancing multiple projects at once!

She has also explored other avenues, such as writing.

She released her first book in 2011: Reshaping It All, where she opened up about her struggle with food due to “expectations of Hollywood."

Thankfully, she now has a better relationship with food which she thanks her faith for.

Candace’s openness made her book a New York Times best-seller, with many praising her transparency.

Since opening up about her family life, and letting millions into her struggles and accomplishments over the years...

Fans have got ever more involved with her personal life.

Meaning she's been the subject to her fair share of criticism over the years.

Which comes with the territory of being in the public eye...

Candace isn't afraid of sharing a little PDA on social media...

In an older video shared to her Instagram, she squeals: "Best birthday ever," as her husband gave her a kiss.

And who could ever forget about this "controversial" photograph?

The controversy surrounding the photo is still ongoing, with some devout Christians attacking the social media mom for posting such "obscene" photos online.

But her most recent upload involving her entire family has absolutely taken the top spot.

A few days ago, she decided to post her family's Christmas photo for 2020, and rather than it just being a cute insight into how they celebrated the holidays this year, it brought out the ugly side of some of her followers. Keep scrolling to see the photograph...

Some comments were pretty positive though...

Some of the comments were so bad that even Natasha, Candace's daughter, had to weigh in on the issue...

Even though her response was more lighthearted, her mom's was not.

Candace took to Facebook to address the issue in an emotional post saying this:

"I posted my family Christmas photo and sadly, there were so many unkind comments. Do you think it’s funny to criticize someone’s children? To make jokes about them? To critique our poses? The direction in which we are looking? Our physical appearance and facial expressions?"

She continued:

"I wished blessings upon everyone as I shared it in the spirit of a happy new year, yet so many of you came back with jokes about our appearance and criticism of what you thought would have been a better photo."

"Shame on you," she said.

"It doesn’t matter if you’re 10 or 90 years old, rude is rude. Be better than that. I’m praying for humanity. Manners and respect. If you don’t like something, just move on. There are people and real feelings behind every screen."

She later added this:

"P.S. Please don’t tell me to ignore the “haters." There were plenty of well-meaning people who thought it would be funny to point out things and share their commentary, “with love." Umm... that’s not love. That’s rude. Try kind. It looks good on everyone." The mom really wasn't playing when she wrote this paragraph.

Straight after the Facebook post, her fans rallied behind her...

And it was really nice to see them jump to her defense when she and her family had been attacked.

Some people in the comments held their hands up for their messages:

It's good that they re-thought their actions.

If you can't be anything else, choose to be kind.

Here's the full family Christmas photo. I, for one, think it's cute. It shows each person's personality. Who wants the perfect cookie-cutter image anyway? Keep scrolling to see how another celebrity's photo mishap led to intense backlash for her entire family...
