While others advocate for the classic "fight back" method. Either way, there's no denying how big of an issue bullying is, and preventing it should be a top priority.

And this is made clear by the latest turn of events over in the UK...

And people can't believe what happened...

Forty-six-year-old Alan Willson ran from his home in Worthing, UK, to a local Park to protect his son from bullies on Easter Sunday...

But when he tried to intervene, he was knocked unconscious and beaten infront of his eleven-year-old son.

He was taken to hospital by air ambulance...

His wife Annie, described how he is "fighting for his life after brain surgery for multiple bleeds on the brain."

She said in a post that he is "the most kind and gentle man in the world."

Willson suffered brain bleeds, lung trauma, broken bones, and fractures to his spine, and is currently in a coma in hospital.

His family is scared he may be left with permanent brain damage...

His twenty-five-year-old daughter, Becky, wrote on Facebook: "I just wish I could just see you dad and tell you its going to be okay.

"Please dad fight for your f*****g life you are such a strong, caring man who has brought us kids up and loved us like we are your own.

"You have so much life left to live and a granddaughter who needs to grow up with her nan-dad. I wish I could just hold your hand but unfortunately Covid has decided that for us. You can do this dad."

5 boys, who apparently can't be named due to their age, were arrested...

And shockingly have since been bailed, but remain under "strict conditions," meaning they have been given a curfew.

Detective inspector Simon Dunn, who is leading the investigation said:

"The assault and the build up to it occurred in a public park in daylight, so it was likely that other people would have witnessed the assault or the suspects running from the scene.

"I am keen to hear from anyone who has information but is yet to come forward."

A JustGiving fundraiser was set up by a friend to help the family with travel expenses to the hospital...

But donations quickly surpassed the £500 ($680) target, reaching over £20,000 ($27000)!
