The social media star Dan Bilzerian isn’t exactly known as a relationship man, but what he posted on Instagram has come as a shock to many.
However, it was his follow-up post that got people questioning his so-called ‘marriage’.

But firstly… who exactly is Dan Bilzarian?
Well, describing Dan Bilzerian in just one sentence may be an impossible task. So, here goes…
Crowned the “King of Instagram” by his thirty-one million dedicated followers, Dan Bilzerian has become famous for showcasing his lavish lifestyle of women, guns, private yachts, and a seemingly never-ending supply of cash.
In 2000, he entered the Navy SEAL training program, but he was unsuccessful several times which ultimately lead him to study business and financing at college in Tampa, Florida instead.
He has boasted on several occasions about his wins, claiming in 2013 that he won $10.8 million in one night, and over $50 million in just 2014.
Bilzerian’s Instagram account is overflowing with pictures and videos that demonstrate his lavish and somewhat over-the-top lifestyle — naked women, private yachts, machine guns… You name it, he has it.
Many have labeled Bilzerian as “s*xist” with his exploitation and blatant objectification of women, and environmental activists have also criticized him for his overuse of private jets.
Is that the former Navy SEAL has certainly lived an eventful life.
But last month, Bilzerian took social media by surprise when he posted a picture of him and a woman locking arms.
The picture captured the forty-one-year-old walking down the aisle in a tuxedo with a woman in a full-length gown.
The caption on the post read: “I finally did it.”
While some people were left shocked by the announcement, others didn’t buy it.
It was only days later, on August 4, that Bilzerian posted a video of him going back to his usual ways.
The post read: “Marriage is a trap, stay single, smoke @ignite.”
People wondered why he would do such a thing just a few days after he got ‘married’.
One user wrote: “Enjoying your honeymoon, I see.”
It wasn’t long after the ‘wedding’ picture was posted publicly that Bilzerian admitted that he in fact attended someone else’s wedding.
He had been to the South of France to attend his friend Bill Perkins’s big day.
He clearly couldn’t resist missing the opportunity to pull a leg.
Which is not surprising, given that Bilzerian tends to be a lot more selective with his Instagram content these days, having admitted earlier this year that he needed time to step back a bit from social media.
“I just lived in the circus for so long that I kind of just — I really needed a break,” he said back in January.
