Many will know Danielle Bregoli for one thing in particular.Bregoli rose to fame after an infamous appearance on Dr. Phil. The feature was about out-of-control teenagers, and Bregoli certainly lived up to that title.
The appearance birthed her now-infamous catchphrase. When the audience took issue with her bratty attitude, she threatened to physically fight them all, with this iconic (and eminently meme-able) one-liner.
But since her viral appearance, Bregoli has done something quite surprising. She's managed to do what very few can manage - spin her small amount of viral attention into a viable (and lucrative) career.
She's rebranded herself as rapper, Bhad Bhabie. And she's surprisingly successful in her new career. Her music has a pretty large fanbase and it has even generated some positive critical reception.
Bhad Bhabie has legions of teen fans.Turning a moment of internet infamy into something what she clearly enjoys (and is making bank with) is no mean feat. She's certainly more shrewd than many thought she was.
Her debut single was called "These Heaux."
2018 was an amazing year for the singer...
She's used her fame to pursue many different ventures.
Bregoli has also partnered with Copycat Beauty.
Though people love to hate her, Bregoli seems to have been coming out on top.Whether by accident or through smart, entrepreneurial spirit, Bregoli has come from nothing and has become a hugely influential personality with a career that many would envy.
Not to mention, she's making a killing.Bregoli's multiple business ventures have led her to wealth beyond any teenager's wildest dreams - and she's certainly not afraid to flaunt it!
But controversy has never been far from Bregoli. The star has been accused on multiple occasions of "blackfishing," for example.
Bregoli is basically unrecognizable.
... Mostly because she looks like a completely different race.
Here are some of the comments:Emotions ranged from confused to amused to angry.
Blackfishing is a very problematic issue.
What in the blackfish is Bhad Bhabie doing??? https://t.co/LBedvE9JD0— Kat Snacks (@Kat Snacks)1586180160.0
Although it didn't seem like she was too concerned. In fact, Bregoli just seemed thankful for the attention.
She also posted this response to the backlash.Thanking the few fans who did choose to stand up for her.
And then it was revealed the star had checked into rehab.
According to TMZ, sources close to the star revealed that she checked into a rehab facility...
The source stated that Bregoli checked herself in for 2 main reasons.
The star was allegedly seeking help for past trauma and substance abuse.
While in rehab, sources said she was doing well...
The star then returned to social media.
Taking to Instagram and sharing the above mirror shot after leaving rehab.
Sources said that she was ready to focus on her music once again.
However now there's some very dark news about the young star.
She claims she faced abuse at the Dr. Phil touted Turn-About Ranch in Utah.
In a video she posted to her YouTube page Friday, Bregoli says she was taken to the ranch in the middle of the night by two 'transporters'. There Bregoli says she was placed in a teepee and forced to stay awake for days.
More specifically, Bregoli said:
You have to sit there for three days. They wouldn't let me lay down for nothing. Like, I was falling asleep and they're like, 'Oh, get up, get up.' So I'm just sitting here like, 'This is gonna be really bad,' when I see these people have no sympathy.
Apparently many others were abused at the ranch.
And in February one girl, who was also sent to the ranch after appearing on Dr. Phil, claimed she was sexually abused by a staffer. She adds that after reporting the alleged abuse she was punished.
Bregoli is demanding an apology from Dr. Phil.
Dr. Phil, I am going to give you from now until April 5 to issue an apology, not only to me, but to Hannah or any other child you sent to Turn-About or any other program like this, and if you don't I'm going to handle things my way.
