The daughter of the man who designed the Super Bowl trophy has claimed she hasn't slept in two days and that Brady should apologize for 'desecrating' the trophy...

The news comes just days after his team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, won this year's Super Bowl.

​Tom Brady might be one of the most legendary players in the NFL.

You can't argue with the numbers, can you?

But we're all well aware that Brady has been no stranger to controversy throughout his career.

 But come on... what football player isn't? Brady rose to stardom after being drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft.

He went on to make history for the team.

 With a historic Super Bowl win of thirty-four to twenty-eight against the Atlanta Falcons in 2017, Brady became the first quarterback in NFL history to take home 6 Super Bowl rings.

Yet, despite his success in the field, he became wrapped up in scandals.

 Remember "Deflategate?" If you don't, Deflategate is the term that was loosely used to describe the NFL's investigation into the New England Patriots - and, in particular, Brady - for their alleged tampering with the football inflation levels.

An investigation was opened.

 Ahead of their 2014-15 AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts, the Patriots were accused of under-inflating the footballs and one of the longest and most contentious legal battles in NFL history commenced.

Brady was suspended by the NFL in May 2015.

In a Facebook post, Brady announced that he would not be continuing with the legal proceeds, and would ultimately be accepting his suspension. The quarterback went on to sit out the first four games of the 2016-17 regular season. However, he came back in true form at the end of the season, as he and the Patriots won another Super Bowl.

But as well as being one of the world's most famous NFL players, Brady is also a devoted father.

Tom has 3 children. His eldest is Jack, aged thirteen, whose mom is Bridget Moynahan, and then there's Benjamin, eleven, and Vivian, 8, whose mom is Brady's current wife, Gisele Bündchen.

He's a big family man.

Brady regularly posts updates of him and his family, who regularly comes down to support him during his games.

But after providing for them for a long time, he revealed he was leaving the New England Patriots.

TB12 posted a very long thank you message upon revealing the news.

He said this:

"I wanted to say thank you to all of the incredible fans and Patriots supporters. MA has been my home for twenty years," Brady wrote. "It has truly been the happiest two decades I could have envisioned in my life and I have nothing but love and gratitude for my time in New England."

He continued:

 "The support has been overwhelming - I wish every player could experience it. My children were born and raised here and you always embraced this California kid as your own. I love your commitment and loyalty to your teams and winning for our city means more than you will ever know."

He also added this:

"I can't thank you enough for the support of our team. The packed training camps and sold out stadiums and mostly the victory parades. I have been so blessed to share them with you all. I tried to represent us always in the best and most honorable way, and I fought hard with my teammates to help bring victory and triumph even in the most dire situations."

And he ended it:

"You opened your heart to me, and I opened my heart to you. And Pats Nation will always be a part of me. I don't know what my football future holds but it is time for me to open a new stage for my life and career."

But within a few days, he was picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers...

​And after such a successful season, the team made it to the Super Bowl final.

The Buccs took on the Chiefs and went on to win the game in a landslide victory.

Brady was also awarded the Super Bowl MVP title for the 5th time for his outstanding performance. He completed twenty-one of twenty-nine pass attempts for 201 yards with 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions.

Of course, people couldn't help but commend him for his skills...

No one could argue with the evidence, could they?

And the victory was made all the more sweeter when Brady's late-night motivational text messages were exposed...

Many fans were saying that it was his GOAT-like mentality that ultimately led the team to capturing the win on Sunday.

In an interview, Leonard Fournette revealed that texts always poured in around 11 PM...

In preparation for the game, he told WEEI Sports Radio Network that Brady was trying to raise morale within the team so sent some late-night texts to all the members.

And the main one said: "We will win this game."

​And it clearly had a positive effect on the team, or on Fournette at least. "It felt great. Just knowing his resume and understand why he wins. All week he made us believe we were going to win. We believed in him. We believed in the play-calling, what the coaches were calling and we just ran with it."

​Not only that but during the game, we saw him repeatedly give the Buccs a good pep-talk...

And it seems to have done the trick!

And of course, Brady is too.

Of course, some people were frustrated at the fact that he wasn't wearing a mask and was surrounded by lots of people, but generally fans were happy to see him having such a good time after working so hard.

At one point though, the Super Bowl MVP is seen throwing the Lombardi Trophy...

And then being escorted off the boat after having one too many.

However one woman really isn't happy.

And it's the daughter of the man who designed the Lombardi Trophy.

She says Brady should apologise for desecrating the trophy.

The woman, Lorraine Grohs, also claims she hasn't slept in days since the footage of him throwing the trophy went viral.

More specifically she said:

"It just really upset me that this trophy was disgraced and disrespected by being thrown as if it was a real footbacll. I didn't sleep for the past two nights because of this."

She continued.

Saying: "I personally would like an apology. Not just to me, and my family, and fellow silversmiths, but to the fans."
