Dave Chappelle Sparks Fury With Donald Trump Coronavirus Joke | 22 Words

Dave Chappelle has a lot of answering to do after last night's explicit Saturday Night Live monologue...

The usually-beloved comedian hosted SNL's first episode following the election last night...

 But his monologue was simply teeming with explicit barbs directed at the outgoing President Trump.

Now, Chappelle is no stranger to a bit of controversy.

 The comedian made his debut as SNL's host in the 2016 Election Night sketch, wherein he launched a savage and explicit attack against America's newly elected President Trump.

Chappelle didn't hold back...

 But hey, that's his style, isn't it? As per the Washington Post, Chappelle said in his 2016 monologue:

"But America’s done it. We’ve actually elected an Internet troll as our president. The whites were furious. I’ve never seen anything like it. I haven’t seen whites this mad since the O.J. verdict. White people screaming on both sides, 'Aahhh!'"

He wasn't afraid to use many current events as his bait...

 Such as the tragic 2016 mass shootings. "If that [Pulse nightclub shooting] is what happened, then ISIS is scarier than I thought because they have very deep cover operatives. 'Look out I’m going out deep for this one, I might have to get a Grindr account, and j— a few guys off, to throw them off the trail.'"

He also joked about Trump's history with sexism and racism...

 But, drawing his monologue to a close by wishing the soon-to-be president good luck in his new role, his comments were taken with a pinch of salt and he moved on from the evening relatively unscathed.

But now, fast forward 4 years, Chappelle is back...

 What exactly did he say that was so bad?

Well, he started by weighing in on Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

“You ask what life was like before Covid... A mass shooting every week. Does anyone remember that? Thank god for Covid."

He also got in a few digs at the white, working-class Trump voter...

“I don’t know why poor white people don’t like wearing masks. What is the problem? Wear masks at the Klan rally, wear it at the Walmart too."

But perhaps the most controversial moment came when he made reference to the president's diagnosis.

“Trump getting coronavirus was like when Freddie Mercury got AIDS. Nobody was like, how did he get it?"

And to make the whole joke even worse...
