Brooklyn Beckham has landed himself in some major hot water this week.

After a snap of him and his fiancé, Nicola Peltz, was posted to both their Instagrams earlier this week, the star has been slammed by fans for the "disturbing" image.

And fans weren't the only ones appalled by the snap.

The star has also received backlash from a domestic violence charity.

With his Dad being David Beckham, one of the most famous soccer stars in the world, and his mom being former Spice Girl turned fashion mogul, Victoria Beckham, it's hardly surprising that Brooklyn has grown to become a bachelor in his own right.

Brooklyn is the eldest of the Beckham clan...

Followed by eighteen-year-old Romeo, fifteen-year-old Cruz, and nine-year-old Harper.

Growing up, Brooklyn initially showed promise as a soccer player.

But it seemed that living up to his dad's reputation became too much of a burden for the young star, so he decided to pursue his passion for photography instead.

He persevered, winning a scholarship to Parsons School of Design in New York.

The star enrolled in a 4-year art and photography course back in September 2017 at the exclusive school.

He's also a huge presence on social media.

And just like his parents, he keeps fans regularly updated on his antics.

The aspiring photographer also hasn't been shy with his love life...

And has had a constant stream of girlfriends and potential love interests on and off throughout his teens and early adulthood.

Brooklyn's most highly-publicized relationship was with the actress, Chloe Grace Mortez.

After reportedly meeting at a spinning class, then fifteen-year-old Brooklyn and seventeen-year-old Chloë were first pictured together when they went skateboarding in Santa Monica.

The pair dated on-and-off for 4 years.

However, last year Brooklyn was pictured kissing the Playboy model, Lexi Wood, just a month after been seen out and about and seemingly in love with Chloe. Not your best move, Brooklyn...

The pair officially called it quits after the incident.

Which left Brooklyn well and truly back on the market.

The twenty-one-year-old has become something of a heartthrob to thousands of girls across the world...

So he obviously wasn't going to stay single for very long. He also had quite a publicized relationship with the model, Hanna Cross - The pair were together for 9 months but had had several high profile arguments before their split.

As predicted, Brooklyn was a busy boy...

And he has found love again, this time with model and actress, Nicola Peltz. Sorry, ladies.

Their romance began last year.

The pair were first spotted together at a Halloween party in October 2019 and their relationship has blossomed since.

Things quickly got serious...

And they went Instagram official back in January. It's always a big deal when a relationship makes it to Instagram, let's be honest.

Nicola even joined the Beckhams to celebrate Brookyln's 21st birthday in March...

Shortly after, Nicola called him her "soulmate."

Brooklyn is always declaring his love for Nicola on his Instagram.

The star is constantly uploading loved-up snaps with the model. They really are adorable together.

Between spending time with their loved ones, the loved-up pair quarantined together during lockdown.

And it seems to have only made them a stronger couple, as back in July, they had an exciting announcement.

They're getting married!

The pair announced the happy news on both of their Instagram's - uploading a snap in a loving embrace, with the ring in shot.

The adorable snap was taken by Brooklyn's little sister, Harper.

Announcing the news, Brooklyn wrote: "2 weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day ❤️ I love you baby xx."

Nicola is equally as thrilled.

"You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. your love is the most precious gift. I love you so so much baby and thank you harper for this pic," she wrote.

Victoria Beckham has also spoken out about the engagement.

She wished the happy couple all the best, saying she "couldn't be happier," for them. "The MOST exciting news!! We could not be happier that @brooklynbeckham and @nicolaannepeltz are getting married! Wishing you so much love and a lifetime of happiness 🙏🏻We all love you both so much x @davidbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven 💕"

But this week, the pair have been at the center of backlash.

A photo of the couple has sparked major controversy.

And to make matters even more eye-brow raising...

The snap caught the attention of a domestic violence charity, and they are far from happy.

Founder of KWRO Women’s Right’s Organisation, Dianna Nammi, called the photo “disgusting"

“It is disgusting and I think with serious matters no one should allow themselves to make a joke," Nammi said.

She continued:

“This is very important, an organization like ours has seen so many women become victims of honor-based violence, domestic violence, forced marriage – and they have been strangled by their own family and they have been killed by husbands, partners or boyfriends."

Nammi admitted she thinks the couple should be forced to publicly apologize.

“It is a really bad picture and he has to apologize to the public for such a dangerous message to the world and his followers. “So we are talking about real life, even if it’s a joke, it is disgusting in my opinion. I think it should be banned from Instagram this kind of picture. He is 21 so mature enough to know it is a very serious matter and I think he has to apologize openly and tell people that he made a huge mistake."

She believes the picture is sending out the wrong message to people.

“We are talking about living people – it is not a doll to play with, so I think this is sending a very wrong message, a very dangerous message to young people especially. “It is so dangerous and his position is so important and not only him but his family need to discuss it to say something in the media that they are not that approving of that, because of their position especially."

However, it wasn’t only Nammi who expressed their concern over the photo.

Several of the pair's fans also voiced their opinion on the controversial snap.

The snap has since been deleted off Beckham's Instagram but remains on Peltz's.
