Letterman didn’t hold back his admiration for Taylor Swift. He described her as a “glowing bright light of goodness in the world.”
But first… Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce talked all about Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game on their podcast this week.
Taylor was in a suit with Jason, along with his wife, Kylie, and a big group of other folks supporting her boyfriend’s big game.
As you likely already saw, Jason celebrated his brother’s touchdown by ripping his shirt off and jumping out of the suite, celebrating with the Buffalo Bills fans below him.
The pair discussed that on New Heights, laughing about just how unhinged that behavior was.
“You celebrated my touchdown by taking your shirt off, screaming, jumping out of the suite, chugging a beer with the fans [and] then jumping back into the suite,” Travis recalled, laughing.
“I watched this and it was pure pandemonium,” he added, referring to the viral videos of his brother.
But, Travis pointed out that there were “not enough cameras on the suite” to capture his sister-in-law Kylie Kelce’s reaction, which had to have been priceless.
“I wanted to see her reaction to all of this so bad,” Travis said.
But, the Philadelphia Eagles center admitted that his wife got a heads up about his plan before he made it happen.
“I’m not going to lie, I gave Kylie a heads-up,” Jason explained. “The moment we got into the suite I said, ‘I’m taking my shirt off and I’m jumping out of that suite.’ And she said, ‘Jason, don’t you dare.'”
“‘It’s happening. I’m not asking for permission. I’m doing this,’” he rememered telling his wife.
Jason went on to say that Kylie had already warned him to be on his “best behavior” because they would be meeting Swift for the first time at the game.
Luckily, none of that seemed to matter, as Travis assured his brother that he was still able to make a good impression.
Kelce told his big brother that Taylor “absolutely loved” him.
Kylie took to the comments to poke fun at her husband’s antics, writing, “‘I’m not asking for permission, I’m doing this.’ – the exact quote I will say when I’m grabbing the keys to go get a cat.”
Her playful comment was liked by Taylor, in addition to the singer giving a heart to the podcast clip, proving she’s a fan just like us.
Unfortunately, while Travis Kelce might make it to the Super Bowl, that doesn’t mean Taylor Swift will.

Sunday’s victory
Patrick Mahomes’ squad played in a nail biter on Sunday, taking the win over the Buffalo Bills on their home field.
Kelce had an especially great night, scoring two touchdowns to lead the Chiefs to a 27-24 victory.
His girlfriend was right by his side cheering him on from a suite along with a lot of his family, including his brother, Jason Kelce.
But Travis made his way off the field to celebrate with his loved ones, he made sure to show his respect to the team they took out of Super Bowl contention.
Complete class act
The tight end was spotted delivering some kind words to the Bills’ quarterback, Josh Allen, after the game.
“You know it’s all the love in the world baby,” Kelce told Allen. “Love you brother.”
He continued, “Helluva job getting here. That s**t is crazy that you got here.”
Now, the Chiefs have to prepare for another huge game next weekend on the road against the Baltimore Ravens.
If they can overtake the Ravens, the team many fans expect to win, the Chiefs will head to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl.
Unfortunately, even if they do make it, Kelce’s good luck charm might not be in the stands.
Taylor’s dilemma…
Obviously, Travis isn’t the only superstar in the relationship, so balancing schedules can be rough.
While Swift has managed to make it to 11 of her boyfriend’s games since the start of their relationship in 2023, she still has her own obligations to consider.
Taylor is currently in the midst of her Eras Tour, the sixth global world tour of her career.
The Super Bowl will be held on Sunday, February 11–just one day after Swift plays a show in Japan.
The singer also has the Australian leg of The Eras Tour just four days after the big game, another location where time zones are completely flipped.
The singer owns two private jets, so it’s possible that she jumps right on the plane after her performance in Japan.
A direct flight from Japan to Las Vegas, where the Super Bowl is being held, would take Swift just under 12 hours.
That time in the air is nothing to scoff at, but luckily, time zones are on her side.
Her concert starts at 6pm and should probably finish around 9pm local time in Japan.
With the time difference, she would finish her show at 1am local time the day before the Super Bowl in Vegas.
Another sad reality…
While Swift might be able to manage making it to her boyfriend’s event, he definitely won’t be at hers.
It should go without saying that if Kelce does play in the Super Bowl, he won’t be taking any international flights the day before.
While Swift’s trips to Chiefs’ games have been highly publicized, the support goes both ways for the couple.
Back in November, Travis made his way all the way to Buenos Aires, Argentina to see his girlfriend in concert.
Videos captured by the audience saw the singer wave goodbye to the audience before running backstage to greet the NFL star with a big kiss.
Earlier that night, Swift gave Kelce a shoutout in her song “Karma.”
She changed the lyrics to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,” which earned a big smile from the Chief’s tight end.
Regardless of what happens on Super Bowl Sunday, it seems like Taylor and Travis will have a lot more time to spend together when the NFL season comes to a close.

The first time they met, it was a classic case of “I know you, but I can’t put a name to the face.”
Ed Kelce, during an interview with the radio station Audacy’s 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland, shared this amusing tale.
He explained that before each of Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs games, friends and family would gather at his son’s house, even though Travis was usually already at the game.
This is where he first met Taylor Swift, who arrived accompanied by a security guard, a rather clear indication of her superstar status.
Despite this, Ed admitted, “I look at her, and I say [to my girlfriend], ‘Oh my god, I know this kid, but I don’t know what her name is’.”
“Jeez, you know, like a real idiot.” Ed’s girlfriend quickly informed him of the identity of their guest, saving him from potential embarrassment.
