Now, where would we be without daycare?

Daycare allows us parents that little bit of freedom for a few hours a day to do whatever we please.

Life as a parent is pretty chaotic...

And as all of us can relate, it proves quite difficult to get "normal" things done when looking after a baby or a small child.

Many parents want to continue their careers...

But of course, caring for a new-born baby while juggling a career isn't exactly ideal.

And like a lot of us can agree...

Some parents simply just need a break.

And especially for single parents...

A few hours to themselves can make the world of difference.

But it's normal for daycare workers to receive messages of concern from parents who are nervous about leaving their kids...

And it's natural to want to check in and make sure our kids are okay, right?

Although this usually revolves around making sure they're getting on with other kids...

This can often center around kids' relationships with their daycare workers.

And while I'm sure we all remember that one teacher that was downright nasty for no reason...

They weren't often as outright as one daycare worker recently chose to be.

Francesca Easdon from Kingwood, Texas, enrolled her son Kyler at Rocking Horse Day Care...

And she had previously talked with the staff about changing up her son's diet.

As Kyler is apparently a picky eater.

So, to try and get him to eat better, Francesca began introducing healthier options in his lunches.

Although this can be a difficult adjustment for young children...

So she decided to add a note to make her son feel at ease about the change. Writing: "Please tell Kyler that his mommy loves him so much and I'm thinking about him. Thank you."

But rather than telling him what was on the note...

The daycare worker decided to do something incredibly cruel...

By writing back a snide remark about Kyler's weight.

Writing: "NO! Put him on a diet and go away." There is just no excuse for this kind of response.

Unsurprisingly, this reply enraged Francesca, who demanded to talk with the daycare.

She wrote an update on Facebook saying she was assured that the matter was being investigated.

Francesca also brought up some inappropriate posts made by Kyler's primary carer.

She came away from the meeting with the impression that "almost no remorse was shown."

Apparently, the employee eventually confessed to sending the message...

Which eventually lead to them being fired but shockingly so,  Francesca wasn't given any form of apology.

This made her feel as though no remorse about the situation was shown...

And for these reasons, Francesca removed Kyler from Rocking horse Day Care.

She has now enrolled him into a new daycare...

While the new place might be slightly more expensive, she said: "Kyler’s safety and level of care comes first." What do you think? Keep scrolling for more parenting stories...
