Guys, it is fall, and you know what that means. It is the season of apples, cool weather, sweaters, and beanies. It is the season of turkey, witches, flannel, and plaid. It is the season leading up to the holiday season, complete with Christmas, candles, and cookies. It is the beginning of four months of hygge.
If you don't know what hygge means, it is "a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture)," according to the Oxford dictionary. And basically, all of the pictures below scream hygge. They are the epitome of coziness, homeyness, contentedness, all of which are indicative of fall and winter for me.
So sit back, relax, and grab a cup of tea. By simply looking at these pictures, I guarantee you that you will feel the level of self-care.
I have one goal during the fall and winter seasons. And it is to make myself a big, toasty cinnamon bun. I do that with a combination of pillows, blankets, candles, tea, books, pajamas, and slippers.
