The past week has been one of the craziest, darkest, and strange times in American politics for quite some time - and that's saying something.
Following the riots at the Capitol Building which left many dead and countless people injured, none other than Demi Lovato has been criticized for her comments on the siege.

Of course, millions of people have been left completely outraged by the scenes that unfolded last night...

From the get-go, there were calls for Trump to intervene.

He instead issued a series of tweets...Where he simply reminded the rioters that the police and law enforcement was "on our side", and to "remain peaceful."
Hours after his supporters had stormed the Capitol, however, Trump finally released a video telling them:"Go home, we love you, you’re very special."
And it didn't take long for Trump's words from his speech earlier in the day to come back and haunt him.

As expected, Trump addressed the "rigged election"...
via: GettyBefore reminding the crowd: “Just remember this: you’re stronger, you’re smarter, you’ve got more going than anybody. And they try and demean everybody having to do with us, and you’re the real people. You’re the people that built this nation. You’re not the people that tore down our nation."
He then said this:
via: Getty"You have to get your people to fight. And if they don’t fight we have to primary the hell out of the ones that don’t fight... Together, we are determined to defend and preserve the government of the people, by the people, and for the people... We fight. We fight like hell."
"And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore."
via: GettyTrump had also stressed this need to "fight" a couple of days earlier when he told supporters at a Georgia rally that they were going to have to "fight like hell" in order to stop Biden from "taking this White House."
And then we got even more news.
via: GettyWhen Trump has confirmed that he will not be attending Joe Biden's inauguration ceremony on January 20th.
He tweeted this:"To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th." He will be only the fourth president to refuse to attend the inauguration of his successor. This is a developing story, make sure to stay posted for further updates.

My heart is broken. It makes me to sad to believe how naive I was to think this couldn’t possibly happen, and yet it did. Here we are. For everyone in my comments saying “where’s d7" or wanting me to sing instead of speaking up about what needs to change in this country. HIS IS WHY I POST AS MUCH AS I DO. THIS IS WHY I CARE. THIS CANNOT HAPPEN ANY F***ING MORE. I’m angry, embarrassed and ashamed. I’m in the studio working on something special after today’s assault on democracy. #ImpeachTrumpTonight
