A video has gone viral yet again showing Disneyland’s Gaston actor breaking character when a woman inappropriately touches him.
Now imagine the scene. You’re in your place of work. Be it, you’re a teacher, you’re a personal trainer, you’re a lawyer, a garbage man, an adult actor, or even the CEO of a pharmaceutical business.
What’s one thing your clients should never ever do? Yes that’s right, they should never walk up to you and just put their hands on you. Never. Why should they?
But for some reason, this happens quite a lot to actors working at Disneyland, and similar places.
People, for whatever reason, feel like they have the right to touch them… And this video proves it all over again.
The video shows a woman approaching Gaston, the legendary Beauty and the Beast character, seemingly for a photo. But when she gets beside the buff actor, the unnamed woman lays her hands on Gaston’s chest and he isn’t having any of it.
Gaston steps back and orders the woman to ‘get out’. The woman continues smiling at Gaston, unsure if he’s being serious. She even tries to grope Gaston’s chest yet again, as Gaston says ‘leave’…
Eventually the woman realises that this isn’t a joke and walks away as the actor sternly says: “There’s children.”
The footage, which is a little old, has recently gone viral again after TikTok user Evansnead shared it to his channel.
Snead comments during the video:
Please do not be that person. Gaston was every bit in the right. Just so you know, if you do harass the characters like that, more often than not, they’re not going to play into it. They’re not going to think it’s cute. If you don’t want a stranger going up to you, in public, at your place of work and putting their hands all over you then don’t do it to the characters. The characters want you to have a great time and enjoy meeting them, but it is their place of work, it is a family place of business and they are also people.
So yeah, hopefully now you’ve seen this video, if you were one of the one per cent who thought it would be acceptable to touch an actor at Disneyland, now you know that it’s actually completely inappropriate.
