Trump briefly left Walter Reed Medical Center today, wearing a mask, for a surprise visit to see supporters outside the hospital. There had been a small rally of people growing outside the hospital that Trump could apparently hear from his suite.
But his decision to leave the hospital has been blasted by many online ...
Trump was driven past the crowd of supporters flying "Make America Great Again" flags and holding up signs.
Just before leaving, Trump announced his plan to visit fans outside Walter Reed in a new video posted to his Twitter. In it, he said he has learned "a lot about COVID" and says how excited he is for the country and all that's happening.
As speculation around Donald Trump's health continues to grow, White House Physician Sean Conley said he could be discharged from the hospital as soon as tomorrow.
via: Getty ImagesThat is, as long as his condition continues to improve.
Yesterday, Trump released another video.President Trump tweeted a video in which he said "I came here, wasn't feeling so well. I feel much better now. We're working hard to get me all the way back. I have to be back, because we still have to make America great again. We've done an awfully good job of that, but we still have steps to go and we have to finish that job."
He also clarified why he chose to move to Walter Reed.
via: Getty Images"I had no choice because I just didn't want to stay in the White House. I was given that alternative -- stay in the White House, lock yourself in, don't ever leave, don't even go to the Oval Office, just stay upstairs and enjoy it. Don't see people, don't talk to people, and just be done with it -- and I can't do that. I had to be out front, and this is America, this is the United States. This is the greatest country in the world, this is the most powerful country in the world, I can't be locked up in a room upstairs and totally safe and just say, hey, whatever happens happens, I can't do that."
In addition, he shared that Melania Trump is doing well.
via: Getty ImagesThe First Lady also tested positive for COVID-19 this week, and President Trump shared that she's doing well, joking that she's "just a little bit" younger than he is and her age is helping her recover.
The president's update finished with a thank you to the American people.
via: Getty ImagesHe said "I just want to be so thankful for all of the support I've seen, whether it's on television or reading about it. I, most of all, appreciate what's been said by the American people, by almost a bipartisan consensus of American people -- it's a beautiful thing to see. And I very much appreciate it and I won't forget it -- promise you that. I also want to thank the leaders of the world for their condolences and their -- they know what we're going through."
Trump has returned to TwitterHe has nothing but praise for the staff at Walter Reed Medical Center, however it's unclear whether his health is improving or if his condition is concerning.
Source shares that his breathing was challenging.
via: Getty ImagesThe White House source went on to say that President Trump's "vitals over the last 24 hours were very concerning and the next 48 hours will be critical in terms of his care."
Trump was taken to hospital on Friday.
via: TwitterAccording to The Washington Post, "Trump was struggling with a low-grade fever, a cough, and nasal congestion, among other symptoms", at the time. Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany told the press. Now his doctor has given yet another update on POTUS.
Since the news broke on Friday night that Donald and Melania Trump tested positive for coronavirus...
via: GettyPeople have had a lot to say. Of course, some have been digging up the past, while others have been sending him well wishes.
Now, it was only a few days ago that Trump took part in the first presidential debate.
via: GettyTrump V Biden was never going to be a civilized affair, but the scenes that unfolded were nothing short of brutal.
Tensions between the candidates have been bubbling for some time now...
via: GettyAnd, earlier this week, it seemed that their mutual feelings of resentment finally reached a boiling point.
And, in a moment many weren't expecting...
via: GettyBiden suddenly lashed out at President Trump when he continued to speak over him.
While many have criticized Biden for his unprofessionalism...
@MSNBC Finally someone said to Trump what I’ve wanted to say to him for the last four years!— Doremus Jessup (@Doremus Jessup)1601429358.0
There were many eye-opening moments from the ninety-minute debate.
via: GettyFor example...
The president was grilled on the newly surfaced allegations regarding his income tax.
via: GettyAsked if it was true that he paid just $750 in income tax in 2016, as reported by The New York Times last week, Trump said, without hesitation: "I paid millions of dollars in taxes, of income tax." Biden used this opportunity to ask for evidence of these tax payments, adding that Trump "takes advantage of the tax code."
Trump was also asked to condemn white supremacist groups...
via: GettyBut instead chose to focus on the left. He said: "Sure I'm willing to do that, but almost everything I see is from the left-wing. I'm willing to do anything. I want to see peace." And, when asked to give this group of people a name, he responded with "Proud Boys." Proud Boys, a neo-Nazi organization, appeared to use Trump's "stand back, stand by" call in a new logo posted on Telegram shortly after the debate.
The president did provide some good news with regards to a coronavirus vaccine, however.
via: GettyWhen Biden pointed out that 200,000 Americans have died during the pandemic as a result of the President's "lack of plan", Trump retaliated by insisting that "millions would have died if Biden was in charge." He then added that the US is "weeks away" from a vaccine, and his administration had done a "great job."
Biden's son, Hunter, was then dragged back into the firing line.
via: GettyThe President brought up Biden's son, claiming the mayor of Moscow's wife gave him millions of dollars and raising questions over his links with Ukraine. He also mentioned Hunter's drug problems.
Clearly, his words about Hunter hit a nerve with Biden.
Beau Biden was not a loser. https://t.co/hwzlZrjh75— Joe Biden (@Joe Biden)1601432460.0
The insults continued to flow.
via: Getty"Everything he's saying here is simply a lie, everybody knows he's a liar," Biden said during an exchange about healthcare. He also called Trump "the worst president this country has ever had."
And, of course, President Trump didn't take them quietly.
via: GettyNot to be outdone, Trump got in plenty of digs as well, firing at his opponent: "There's nothing smart about you Joe. Forty-seven years, you've done nothing."
But, out of their many valiant attempts to slander one another...
via: GettyThere was one moment that stood out amongst the rest.
Now, not everyone was too impressed...
@chrislhayes @NicolleDWallace Yes that made me cringe! So unprofessional...where was the question that @JoeBiden was going to like?— Aleta Devaney (@Aleta Devaney)1601435113.0
However, on the other hand...
@kurtbardella @JoeBiden @realDonaldTrump I apologize. I don't know the question. Just hearing Joe say those words made my fukin night.— CEH (@CEH)1601442062.0
Because, as you may have already heard...
via: GettyBiden actually told the president to "shut up."
Yep, it's something many dream of doing one day.

But now, news has come in that could put Trump's future leadership in jeopardy.
via: GettyIt has been confirmed that the President and his First Lady have been infected with the virus that has already killed 208,000 Americans and devastated the economy.
Trump tweeted this...It has also been confirmed that the president has mild symptoms of the virus too.
They are now self-isolating...

via: GettySeventy-four-year-old President Trump is actually in the high-risk category.
The statistics speak for themselves.
via: GettyAccording to CDC statistics, patients between the ages of sixty-five and seventy-four are 5 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19 than someone aged eighteen to twenty-nine.
This means that patients of Trump's age have ninety times greater chance of death than others...

The First Lady's update on the situation gave some people hope.
