Donald Trump Claims California Has To Have 'Special' Masks That Cannot Be Removed | 22 Words

President Trump has come out with a new coronavirus-related falsehood this week...

Again, Donald?

During a campaign rally in Arizona on Wednesday, the president made some outrageous claims about the preventative measures the state of California has taken to combat coronavirus.

His accusations seem to be getting wilder by the day...

But sadly, many of us weren't too surprised.

Because, whether he's calling it the "Chinese" virus or downplaying down the severity of the pandemic...

Trump hasn't exactly been praised for his handling of the ongoing medical crisis.

He started out by remaining stubbornly confident in America's resilience to the virus.

Back in January, shortly after the initial outbreak, he was quizzed on his thoughts on the virus, in which he replied: “It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine."

And, even when the number of cases here in America started to climb...

He remained calm, and repeatedly stressed that there was nothing to be too worried about.

The President persistently fought against the media regarding the pandemic.

And, at one point, even dubbed the virus as being a "fake news media" conspiracy.

And, as the months trickled by...

President Trump simply wouldn't budge from his stance on the virus and even went on to compare it to the common flu. This was perhaps one of his most dangerous and false statements about the virus and caused plenty of outrage amongst both Americans and people all over the world.

Things needed to change...

And fast. As the number of coronavirus cases and deaths grew here in the States, people were growing increasingly more concerned with Trump's blaze attitude regarding the pandemic.

But, thankfully, the president seemed to have a sudden change of heart.

On March 13th, mere days after he compared the pandemic to the common flu, he finally declared a national emergency.

The President began to hastily backtrack...

And insisted that he "felt it was a pandemic long before it was declared a pandemic."

However, things were only going to get worse.

At a press conference in April, the president discussed potential cures for the virus and went on to bring up the topic of disinfectants.

He casually suggested that these disinfectants could, in some way, be "injected" into the body as a method of combatting the virus.

"I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute," he said. "Is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs, and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that."

Even for Trump's standards, these claims were completely outrageous.

People were horrified that a man with such power and influence would offer such reckless and potentially deadly advice to his country.

As soon as he made his shocking claim, medical experts began frantically urging people to not inject themselves with chemicals.

If you are unwell, go to a doctor. By no means should you ever pump such harmful and toxic chemicals into your body.

And, fast forward 6 months...

Trump's stance on the pandemic is faring no better. Even after catching coronavirus himself, the president remains firmly in the belief that this pandemic is nothing to be feared, with him making public appearances mere days after his diagnosis.

And now, as the election day looms...

Trump has made yet another outrageous claim about the virus.

At yesterday's Arizona rally, Trump decided to weigh in on California's response to the pandemic.

Speaking to a mostly maskless crowd, Trump insisted that Californians are not allowed to ever remove their masks... even when they eat.

Of course, Californians have been quick to mock his "utterly ridiculous" claim.

He baselessly claimed that people in California are forced to wear a “special mask" that cannot be removed “under any circumstances."

His exact words were: "In California, you have a special mask. You cannot under any circumstances take it off. You have to eat through the mask. It’s a very complex mechanism, and they don’t realize those germs, they go through it like nothing. They look at you with that contraption and they say that’s an easy one, I’m going right through with the food."

Yes, he really said that.
