Former President Donald Trump has been slammed as a disgrace for his behavior on his wife, Melania Trump's birthday...

Even for Donald, this is low.

Here's the full story...

Now, Donald Trump first met his wife back in 1998.

Melania, who is from Slovenia, was working as a model and businesswoman when she met businessman Donald at a party.

He was in the process of divorcing his second wife, Marla Maples...

Though this didn't stop him from asking Melania out, to which she accepted.

The pair were dating for around 6 years when they became engaged in 2004...

And they tied the knot in 2005 in a lavish ceremony at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, followed by a reception in the ballroom at Donald's Mar-a-Lago estate.

Donald already had 4 children from his first 2 marriages...

And in 2006, his first and only child with Melania was born - Barron William Trump.

The pair seemed to enjoy a happy marriage...

And there was no doubt that they both enjoyed the finer things in life, with them frequently attending star-studded events across the world.

But this was all to change in 2016.

Donald Trump began his presidential campaign and, much to the shock of the entire world, he was elected as the forty-fifth president of the United States in January 2017 - instantly making Melania the first lady.

Initially, Melania struggled to find her feet as the first lady...

And she was very quickly cast aside by her husband's brash ideas as president.

And of course, it didn't take long for the criticisms to begin.

In comparison to former first ladies such as Michelle Obama, Melania was slammed for not sharing the same passion and charisma; and it was clear that as Donald's wife, she never thought she'd be in this position.

Who can blame her though?

I think we can all agree that when marrying Donald all those years ago, being America's First Lady was never on the agenda.

However, Melania valiantly took it in her stride...

And threw herself into the prestigious role with gusto.

However, cracks between Melania and Donald soon started to show following his (first) inauguration.

Remember when Melania visibly snatched her hand away from her husband during his 2020 presidential campaign?

Rumors began to circulate that Melania would be seeking a divorce.

Well, Melania denied these rumors...

But it was still clear that the former model wasn't happy, whether that's with her marriage or the fact that she had been forced into such an important role as the country's first lady in the first place.

People were - and still are - convinced that she is going to jump ship...

Well, Melania has defied the odds and remains very much married to Donald...

Though, after his behavior on her birthday, we're not sure how much longer it'll last.

Melania celebrated her fifty-first birthday on Monday, April 26th...

But her hubsand - along with his army of Republicans - used the occasion to beg supporters to donate to his presidential party instead.

Donald's backers clearly saw an opportunity to cash in on well-wishers who were advised to cough up $100 to "defend the Trump legacy."

Rather than figuring out what the Republican party could possibly gift Melania, organizers decided a digital card and rallying funds for their own political gain would do the trick.

Over the weekend, emails and texts were sent off to Republican supporters, prompting them to sign a digital birthday card if they had not already done so, The Times reported.

In the style of Trump's old tweets - complete with his infamous capital letters - the email read:

"We know how much the First Lady means to YOU so we're going to give you ONE MORE chance to sign her card, but you must ACT FAST!"

Once party supporters had signed the birthday card, they were taken to a page that encouraged them to make a donation to make a sizeable donation to the party's coffers.

The recommended $100 option was, of course, automatically selected to remove any doubt of how much was appropriate to give.

Happy belated birthday, Melania! We hope Donald's party donations made your day very special.
