In his first speech since leaving office, former president Donald Trump has given his opinion on female transgender athletes and, as we all imagined, it has been slammed for being unbelievably harsh.
You won’t believe your ears when you hear what else Trump had to say over the weekend…
Donald Trump is officially out of hiding…
And he has made an explosive return, to say the least.
The former president delivered a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC 2021) on Sunday…
And he decided to not only completely tear apart Joe Biden’s first few months as president, but he also made a vicious stab at women’s sports.
And to be more precise…
He attacked female transgender athletes and demanded America protect women’s sports by banning trans athletes.
Yikes. Here’s the full story…
The argument surrounding transgender athletes has been debated for quite some time now…
Because ever since the Olympics allowed trans athletes to compete in 2016, there has been a solid divide in opinion over the matter.
While many are supportive of the inclusion of transgender athletes…
It is often slammed for being unfair towards other athletes competing in the sport.
The subject of transgender female athletes is certainly the most debated…
With people like Piers Morgan arguing that female trans athletes have an “unfair advantage” due to the fact they were born with a male anatomy, consisting of testosterone and other male hormones that increase strength and stamina.
It has been argued that their competitors don’t “stand a chance”…
And there’s a high number of people out there who feel transgender athletes shouldn’t be allowed to compete because of this thought.
For instance, professional MMA fighter Ronda Rousey refused to fight trans fighter Fallon Fox in 2014.
“I feel like if you go through puberty as a man it’s something that you can’t really reverse. You can’t just reverse that, there’s no undo button on that. That’s, unfortunately, her scenario,” she said of her decision.
And New Zealand transgender weightlifter, Laurel Hubbard, faced a lot of criticism after she won a gold medal at the Pacific Games.
New Zealand-based lobby group, “Speak Up For Women,” which advocates that sport must be categorized by sex rather than gender identity, called on the country’s Olympic committee and sports minister to “defend women’s sport.”
“Kiwis (New Zealanders) know that males competing in women’s sport is blatantly unfair,” the group’s spokesperson Ani O’Brien said.
Nevertheless, transgender athletes are allowed to compete here in the United States…
And transgender girls are now allowed to participate in sports that match their gender identity at schools and colleges across the country.
Well, this is what brings us back to today’s story…
Because former president Donald Trump completely disagrees with transgender athletes competing here in America and is doing everything he can to put a stop to it.
Now, we all know that Donald Trump hasn’t been having the best few months.
He lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden after serving just 1 term, was accused of inciting a violent riot at the U.S Capitol building, got banned from all platforms of social media, and lost millions of loyal supporters in the process.
Without Twitter and other social media platforms, things have been awfully quiet on the Trump front since President Biden’s inauguration…
And we can only imagine how furious Trump has been without his platforms to vent.
Well, Trump finally got his moment over the weekend to get his voice heard as he attended the CPAC 2021 and delivered his first speech since leaving office…
And it was just as colorful and outrageous as we’d imagined.
Predictably, Trump slammed President Biden’s capabilities as president and yet again, made numerous remarks about how he actually won the 2020 election.
He also made some serious hints that he’ll be running for president again in 2024…
But the most alarming comments he made were, of course, about female transgender athletes here in the U.S.
In a seemingly random turn of events, Trump suddenly started talking about women’s sports.
“Joe Biden and the Democrats are even pushing policies that would destroy women sports,” Trump said, apparently in reference to the Equality Act which seeks to expand protections for the LGBTQ+ community and was passed in the House last week.
He then said:
“A lot of new records are being broken in women’s sports – hate to say that ladies – but got a lot of new records that are being shattered.”
While referring to weightlifting, Trump said “every ounce is like a big deal for many years,” as he pretended to lift an invisible bar.
“All of a sudden somebody comes along and beats it by a hundred pounds.”
The former president then said:
“Young girls and women are incensed that they are now being forced to compete against those who are biological males. It’s not good for women. It’s not good for women’s sports which worked for so long and so hard to get to where they are.
“What coach, as an example, wants to recruit a young woman to compete if her record can easily be broken by somebody who was born a man?” he then asked.
“If this does not change, women’s sports as we know it will die.”
And when Trump said this, he was met with cheers and applause from the crowd of supporters who turned up to listen… many of whom weren’t wearing face masks, FYI.

What do you think about the former president’s harsh words? Do you think he makes a valid point? Or do you think it’s long overdue for him to keep his opinions to himself?
