Dr. Dre Suffers Brain Aneurysm And Is Rushed To ICU | 22 Words

It was reported this week that the rapping legend, Dr. Dre, was rushed to the hospital after allegedly suffering from a brain aneurysm.

And now, the all-important health update has been issued.

Dre, real name Andre Young, was reportedly taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday, January 4th.

So, of course, the news of his hospitalization was bound to hit hard.

TMZ broke the news on Tuesday and claimed that the rapper had suffered from a brain aneurysm.

Sources told the publication that Dre had been taken straight to the ICU...

Before adding that he was "stable and lucid."

Doctors are currently unsure as to what caused the aneurysm...

But today, Dre has given us that highly-anticipated health update.

Taking to Instagram, he began by writing:

"Thanks to my family, friends, and fans for their interest and well wishes."

He reassured fans that he is on the road to recovery.

"I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon."

Dre signed off with a message of gratitude to his healthcare team.

"Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!"
