So it hasn't come as too much of a surprise to hear of his appearance in an upcoming children's book.

Simon & Schuster is releasing Dr. Fauci: How a Boy from Brooklyn Became America's Doctor, written by Kate Messner and illustrated by Alexandra Bye, on June 29th.

The story book is said to chronicle both the doctor's life and provide information on vaccines for children.

A blurb on the book, which is now available for pre-order, calls it the "definitive picture book biography" for Dr. Fauci, reading:

"Extensive backmatter rounds out Dr. Fauci's story with a timeline, recommended reading, a full spread of facts about vaccines and how they work, and Dr. Fauci's own tips for future scientists."
