As more and more schools continue to drop Dr. Seuss's books, it has been revealed that 6 of the famous children's books will stop being published altogether because of "racist and insensitive imagery."
And now, Universal Orlando is "evaluating" the section named after the famous author.
The news comes after 6 of the books were "canceled" due to "racial undertones"...
And it's safe to say, the reaction has been huge.
And just a few days after the news, Universal Orlando has now decided to "evaluate" if their Dr. Seuss section at the theme park.

Now, as all of us will be aware, it was national Read Across America Day a few days ago - an annual day that celebrates all kinds of books, authors, and young readers.

It is also a day that celebrates the birthday of the infamous children's author, Dr. Seuss.
Theodor Seuss, who died in 1991, is known for his best-selling children's books...
Such as Horton Hears A Who! (1955), The Cat in the Hat (1957), How The Grinch Stole Christmas (1957), and Green Eggs and Ham (1960).
And it's safe to say that all of his work has cemented millions of American childhoods over the last 6 decades; he's pretty much been considered a national treasure.
Dr. Seuss and his work has always dominated this national reading day...
And it's become somewhat of a tradition for Dr. Seuss' wild and wacky stories to be celebrated and remembered on Read Across America Day, with numerous former presidents and first ladies promoting and paying tribute to his stories.
So quite predictably, it came as quite a shock to many to hear that President Biden "canceled" Dr. Seuss this year.
In Biden's proclamation declaring Tuesday Read Across America Day, he made no mention of the renowned author...
Even though Donald Trump and Barack Obama both did in their own declarations for the last 2 decades.
Biden definitely broke the long-standing tradition.
Although the White House hasn't commented specifically on why the president chose not to mention the author...
The apparent snub came just days after Loudoun County Public School District in Virginia removed Dr. Seuss from its Read Across America Day celebration, claiming that the legendary author's books had "racial undertones."
The Loudon County School District said they were leaving Seuss out of their celebrations and instead were shifting the "emphasis" towards books that are more "inclusive and diverse and reflective of our student community."
"Research in recent years has revealed strong racial undertones in many books written/illustrated by Dr. Seuss," LCPS said in a statement to CNN.
Examples of racial undertones in the books include "anti-Japanese American political cartoons and cartoons depicting African Americans for sale captioned with offensive language," LCPS explained.
They continued:
"Given this research, and LCPS' focus on equity and culturally responsive instruction, LCPS provided this guidance to schools during the past couple of years to not connect Read Across America Day exclusively with Dr. Seuss' birthday."
And things got a little more shocking...
It was later announced that 6 Dr. Seuss books will stop being published altogether and, of course, this caused outrage among audiences.
The 6 books no longer being published are: And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, McElligot's Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super!, and The Cat's Quizzer.
And now, it seems as though Universal Orlando is re-thinking their Dr. Seuss-themed section too.
The news did not sit well with fans...
This is an overreaction. The cancel culture is a disgrace because it wants EVERYTHING to fit in a perfect mold. That’s not how life is, erasing bits of history, art, or culture don’t change our collective past. Erasure is not an educator

Admitting that even great minds had some pretty racist ideas in their other works, like his political cartoons, is a good reason to take a closer look at his content intended for children.

A popular author for over 100 years is about to be tossed to the dust bin because Twitter was angry...Where did our society go wrong?

Get a spine and leave Dr. Seuss alone.

Is this section of the park gonna be closed?

This woke cancel culture sucks balls foreal.
In a statement provided to Orlando's local Spectrum News 13, they said this:
"[The section] continues to be very popular with our guests and we value our relationship with Seuss Enterprises," and that they would not be shutting it down.
They continued:
"We've removed the books from our shelves as they have asked and we'll be evaluating our in-park experience too," the spokesperson added. "But our guests can plan on continuing to be able to enjoy their favorite experiences at Seuss Landing."
So you don't have to worry... It will remain open, but things will be evaluated overall.
