Drake, the Canadian-born rapper, has found himself in the midst of a scandal once again. This time, an alleged inappropriate video of him has leaked on social media, causing a frenzy among fans and followers.
But first… Andrew Tate was originally in custody after his mansion was raided by police in December.
But he’s just been released – and has been acting rather erratically since.
He was arrested after a very public Twitter spat with activist Greta Thunberg.
Scroll on to find out more…
Thunberg has become one of the biggest names in the world.
And now, years later, the young activist continues to dominate headlines.
Her career started when she was only fifteen.
Starting one day in August 2018, a then fifteen-year-old Thunberg decided to skip school to sit outside Sweden’s Parliament in Stockholm with the simple sign “Skolstrejk För Klimatet” — translating to “School Strike for Climate.”
She continued doing this every week.
And vowed to not stop until her government had done something about the climate change crisis.
It didn’t take long for her message to catch on.
Suddenly, millions of people were inspired to also do the same.
People all over the world had taken to the streets to fight against climate change.
Her decision to protest peacefully has really changed the direction of the movement as a whole.
2019 was a whirlwind year for the teenager.
Thunberg attended numerous marches and protests all over the world and was even invited to the UN Climate Conference in New York, which she traveled to on a zero-emissions boat.
And during the event, she gave a scorching speech aimed at world leaders.
The activist blasted leaders and politicians for their lack of action regarding climate change.
“How dare you,” she exclaimed. “I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean, yet you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you?”
Her work was recognized globally…
And soon enough, she was declared as TIME’s Person of the Year for 2019.
Fast forward to 2022…
The now nineteen-year-old Thunberg became a pioneer in pushing the movement forward along with other fellow activists including Vanessa Nakate, Ayakha Melithafa, and Xiye Bastida.
Her unwavering commitment to saving our planet continues to inspire people to live more sustainably every day.
But alongside her admirers are her critics…
And former POTUS, Donald Trump, is one of those vicious critics.
Of course, we all know that Thunberg didn’t agree with Trump’s policies on climate change…
Especially when he made the decision to pull out of the vital Paris Climate Agreement.
The teenager has publicly slammed Trump on several occasions…
Which, of course, never went down well with the former hot-headed President!
Trump would often take to Twitter to slam Thunberg…
And in a very childish manner, the former President would enjoy tearing apart her name and legacy.
It was enough to drive anyone crazy…
But thankfully, Thunberg took it all with a pinch of salt and simply ignored Trump’s nasty comments until after the election.
During an interview in the United Kingdom, Thunberg was asked about the time she responded to Trump telling her to “chill” and “watch an old-fashioned movie” on Twitter.
For those who don’t remember, the activist tweeted back at Trump when he lost the election, saying: “Chill Donald, Chill!”
“I don’t see it as ‘I want revenge’ or something. I try, as much as I can, to not speak about individuals. Because that’s what they [politicians] do,” she said.
She then added:
“But of course, it is very hilarious when they write and say these kinds of things. It’s a very clear sign that they are seeing the climate movement as threats, and rather than speaking about the climate crisis itself, they try to shift the subject to someone like me.”
And a quote like that wasn’t just referencing Trump, but all world leaders that refuse to acknowledge the climate crisis.
The teenage climate activist has hit out at everyone that attended the Cop26 Climate Change Conference.
Thunberg claimed that world leaders are only “pretending” to care about the ongoing issue.
“This COP26 is so far just like the previous COPs and that has led us nowhere,” she told people attending a rally near the conference in Glasgow. “They have led us nowhere. Inside COP there are just politicians and people in power pretending to take our future seriously,” she said.
“Pretending to take the presence seriously of the people who are being affected already today by the climate crisis. Change is not going to come from inside there — that is not leadership.
“We say no more ‘blah blah blah.’ No more exploitation of people and nature of the planet. No more exploitation. No more whatever the fuck they’re doing inside there,” Thunberg continued.
But as candid as Thunberg has been professionally, there’s been a lot we don’t know about her personal life.
Until recently…
She really opened up in a new interview with The Times.
Thunberg claimed that she would “never go out drinking,” adding, “I don’t know if that’s because I’m that kind of person or if it is because I don’t want to be ‘seen.'”
It’s this self-consciousness that she believes also affects her dating life.
“If I come up to them, you’re more vulnerable,” she said. “So you have people looking up to you, but you’re also much more vulnerable.”
Thunberg also claimed that she never keeps any of the money she makes from her activism.
“The proceeds that I will make will go to charity. It would be nice to have money, but by donating… For example, if I donate it to rewilding or nature conservation, I can start a debate on that.
“If I donate to refugees, you can talk about why – and then you can explain,” she said.
Thunberg also opened up about the unique position she holds amongst climate activists.
“There are very few who have the experience of being a grassroots campaigner and also being followed by the paparazzi.
“Someone recently told me I am an influencer, but I don’t like that,” she said.
“My position is very different!
“But we’re not doing all this because we want to. We’re doing this because it seems like you have to do something,” Thunberg confessed.
In the interview, the nineteen-year-old shared more juicy details about her life.
According to Bunte, Thunberg revealed that she does not live alone, but in a flat that she shares with 2 fellow residents.
As an autistic person, her life with other people isn’t so easy, however, Thunberg seems to cope well with it.
“I don’t know what happened to me either. I’ve gone from someone who never speaks to someone who hardly ever shuts up. Somehow I want to have people around me all the time now. Otherwise, I do puzzles, embroidery, and talk a lot of nonsense,” she said.
The activist confessed the situation is quite different from her everyday life, which presents her with very special problems…
One being her indecisiveness.
“Sometimes I flip a coin or ask people without context: yes or no? It is very difficult for me to make decisions,” she said.
Reportedly, it mainly concerns unspectacular questions such as the choice to wear her socks, bigger decisions are much easier for her.
But her commitment to climate change remains her utmost passion, of course!
And now she’s been making headlines once again…
This time for destroying Andrew Tate.
Greta called him out for having “small d**k energy.”
Honestly, we couldn’t agree more.
Her comments came after Tate took a stab at the teen on Twitter…
Gloating that he owns “33 cars” with “enormous emissions.”
He tweeted: “Hello @GretaThunberg I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad-turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s.
“This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”
His post garnered a lot of attention, with many calling Tate out in the comment section…
One wrote: “Translated this for you: My 33 cars are a pathetic attempt to compensate for my inability to feel like a real man, which conflicts with my constant diet of toxic masculinity. I am an impotent bottom who attacks young women as a way to perform for the men I truly desire.”
But it was Greta’s reply that stole the show…
She wrote: “Yes, please do enlighten me. Email me at smalld**[email protected].”
Her comment gained millions of likes, with thousands of Twitter users responding in amazement at the blow.
Dozens shared GIFs of shocked celebrities.
And it seems “Tiny Tate” couldn’t handle the burn…
The ex-kickboxer responded to her comment, trying, unsuccessfully, to get the ball back in his court.
He simply replied: “How dare you?!” in reference to the viral comment she made to world leaders while discussing the climate emergency.
One Twitter user commented: “Maniac tough guy Andrew Tate getting told he has small d**k energy by a teenage girl he harassed and only being able to muster “how dare you?!” as a response is Elon-level reputational self-injury.”
“You spent your life training to fight only to get your face kicked in by a teenage girl with one sentence well done tater,” another wrote.
How embarrassing!
Well, not quite as embarrassing as what happened next…
Tate has been arrested, along with his brother in Romania after giving his location away in a video response to Greta.
He is wanted by police on possible charges of human tr*fficking.
Authorities released a statement, saying: “The prosecutors of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism – Central Structure together with police officers from the Bucharest Organized Crime Brigade implemented 5 home search warrants in a case in which investigations under the aspect of committing the crimes of constituting an organized criminal group, human trafficking, and r*pe.”
The video he posted to Greta on Twitter gave him away.
In the video, Tate tries to flip the embarrassment onto nineteen-year-old Greta, and the whole thing is pretty hard to watch.
However, while trying to look like he’s above her comments, he tripped himself up…
He featured a pizza box, which he was adamant he would not recycle, from the Romanian pizza chain, Jerry’s Pizza, which tipped officials off to his whereabouts.
In the video, Tate was given the box and said: “Please make sure these boxes are not recycled”.
And after finding out about his arrest, Greta trolled him once again…
Mocking Tate with another savage blow.
She tweeted: “This is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes.”
Her tweet has already gained almost 4 million likes online.
Since his arrest, a spokesperson for Tate has released a statement…
According to the Daily Mail, they said: “We cannot provide any details at the moment regarding alleged reports that they have been detained; however, Andrew and Tristan Tate have the utmost respect for the Romanian authorities and will always assist and help in any way they can.”
As a result of the viral video that led to his arrest, people are flooding Jerry’s Pizza with rave reviews online.
One said: “So good! Or shall I say, arresting! You’ll want to handcuff yourself to this pizza!”
“Pizza so good you’ll dox yourself to get a slice,” another commented.
While a third wrote: “I’m in shackles at how good this pizza joint is. Such an arresting experience. They can lock me away in their restaurant any time for some good quality pizza.”
But despite all the support, Greta is receiving, it seems not everyone is impressed…
Cardi B has left fans shocked at her response to the recent Twitter spat.
She posted a photo of the young activist on Twitter with the caption: “IDC.”
And people weren’t happy with her attitude towards Greta. One Tweeted: “You’re in the same boat as Tate, we don’t like you either. Stop riding waves.”
Another wrote: “Wym by this? Bc if you’re against her. That’s very concerning.”
“Cardi, I’m a fan of yours but I don’t get this,” a third chimed.
But it seems the majority of people are on Greta’s side…
As someone has edited Tate’s Wikipedia page to add his Twitter fight with the young activist.
As we know, Tate was a professional kickboxer, and his Wiki page details all about his previous fights…
Including his recent throwdown with Greta.
Someone completely altered his fight statistics, showing Greta knocked him out in 0.01 seconds.
It has since been removed from Wiki, but plenty of social media users have screenshotted the page.
One wrote: “Nah stop it, someone edited Andrew Tate’s wiki page to say he lost to Greta. [This is] possibly my favorite Wiki edit to date.”
Following this, Tate suffered another blow.
Romanian police confirmed to Insider that they have confiscated all of Tate’s vehicles.
This is to “sustain the cost of the investigation” into Tate.
The cars may also be used as collateral to fund payment toward Tate’s alleged victims.
And then reports from inside Tate’s Romanian jail surfaced …
The Council of Europe’s Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment’s 2021 report looked inside many Romanian prisons.
And what they found was rather disturbing.
The report reads: “Material conditions in all the prisons visited were generally poor.”
“With cells dilapidated, lacking equipment (storage space, tables and chairs), and mattresses and bedding worn out and infested with bed bugs and cockroaches.”
Things then got even worse for Tate…
As he lost his appeal to end his detention.
Tate appeared in court where he lost his appeal against the 30 day arrest period, LadBible reports.
And his detention time could get even longer as should prosecutors wish to do so, they could request a detention period of up to 180 days for Tate.
But even though he’s imprisoned, Tate is still active on social media.
He recently took a swipe at Logan Paul.
Which is likely in reference to his new energy drink, Prime, being sold for wildly inflated prices.
“Lol. Even in Romanian Prison they talk about Logan Paul being a scammer,” he wrote.
Tate came under fir once more soon after.
Daria told BBC News she was just 16 when Tate first messaged her.
“We had our high school in our bio and everything. I think he was just trying to find girls who were as innocent or naïve as possible, in my opinion,” she said.
It just read ‘Romanian girl’ and he put some flirty emoji,” Daria continued. “I was confused because I [only] had 200 followers, and it was a private account.”
Tate has reportedly said in the past, “Sometimes … I’ll put a completely pointless emoji on the end: some cherries, or an orange, or a strawberry.”
Daria also said, “This is a big problem because we can’t wake up in 20 years with two million Andrew Tates.”
Tate has also been complaining about his prison’s conditions.
YouTube account Fesify claims that Tate wrote: “They’re trying to break me. Thrown inside a cell without light.
“Cockroaches, lice and bed bugs, are my only friends at night.
“When the guards bring me to and from the courtroom, I stay absolutely respectful.
“They try to pour hatred into my heart. But please and thank you, you stick with me at all times.
“Our prison guards are just performing their jobs, they have families to feed in times of hardship. Do not forget your manners.
“They are trying to break my iron mind with unjust imprisonment. My absolute respect for everyone around me is my act of absolute rebellion.
“They cannot break me.”
Tate then spoke out again.
Taking to Twitter to worryingly state: “I would never kill myself.”
Earlier this week, Tate was hit with more bad news.
As a judge has ruled to extend his sentence for a third time.
The judge ruled that the “particular dangerousness of the defendants” as well as their capacity “to exercise permanent psychological control over the victims” means it safer to keep them behind bars for now.
Tate then opened up about his exercise routine in prison.
“I am in a cell. I have extremely limited freedom of action,” he said.
“Every single day, I do 500 squats. 500 push-ups. Practice my tiger paw technique. Walk 10km. Write and complete lessons for the students inside The Real World. Read and respond to 100s of letters.”
“Read my Quran. And then begin my day of strict long meditation. You have all your freedom of movement. You have unlimited information and accessibility at your fingertips.”
“If my days in this cell are more productive than yours, you should be furious with yourself. It means you are failing. How will you ever reach greatness when you do not even outperform a man in a jail cell? Work harder. You cannot afford to fail any longer.”
And he’s also revealed some supernatural experiences behind bars.
“I was awoken last night by an icy chill and identified a ghost in my prison cell,” he shared.
“He was terrified and begged me not to annihilate him. I sent him back to hell with a message for the demons. I am always ready.”
Tate then received some bad news about his sentence.
A rep for Tate told the Mirror: “Unfortunately, the Romanian judicial system denied Andrew Tate’s request for bail today. We are disappointed in this outcome as we had high hopes to see Andrew reunited with his family. His legal team will be appealing this decision within the 48hr time frame.”
After all this, Tate was brutally roasted by South Park.
The show roasted the ‘toxic masculinity coach’ Andrew Tate, who is named Alonzo Fineski in the most recent episode of South Park on HBO Max.
In the ep, the police show up, saying: “That’s Alonzo Fineski, the Romanian s*x trafficker.”
Watch a clip from the ep right here.
But on March 31st, Tate was released from prison and placed instead under house arrest.
He then released a bizarre statement that has the whole internet talking.
In his statement, which has been shared on Twitter, Tate said: “The judges who heard us today, they were very attentive, they listened to us and they let us know, so I have absolute respect for them.”
“I have no resentment in my heart for the country of Romania over anybody else, I just believe in the truth. I believe in god and I think that the fire of the truth will destroy all lies and anybody who lies over a long enough time frame will feel regret. I truly believe that justice will be served in the end, there is zero percent chance of me being found guilty of something I have not done.”
“I maintain my absolute innocence and I think most people understand this. I look forward to being home, so thank you very much, everyone.”
When asked what his plans for the next few days were, Tate replied: “When I was in jail I did 7,417 push-ups, I would like to get to 10,000 before the end of the weekend. I will focus on the push-ups and I will read the Quran. Thank you.”
Tate has also sparked controversy thanks to his comments on Canada.
On an episode of his podcast, Tate said: “Imagine being from Canada. Imagine saying I’m a man. ‘From where?’ ‘From Canada.’”
“What? That doesn’t go together. ‘What are you talking about? Wait. You’re a man? From Canada?’ Nah. Can’t be. ‘No, no, I’m a man.’”
“You’re not, bruv. Of course not. There’s no men in Canada. F***ing joking.”
Drake then commented on a clip from the podcast by writing “green light.”
Meaning he gives his fans the green light to criticise or mock Tate.
Take a look right here.
What do you think of the beef?
The Alleged Video Leak
Social media was abuzz with chatter when an X-rated video, seemingly featuring Drake, started making the rounds.
It didn’t take long for the news to spread like wildfire, and fans were left wondering whether the video was genuine or just another internet hoax.
While there has been no official confirmation from Drake or his team regarding the authenticity of the video, it certainly caused quite a stir.
Adin Ross and the Voice Memo
One person who found himself at the center of the controversy was Adin Ross, a popular streamer who has previously appeared in videos with Drake.
Ross claimed to have sent a voice memo to Drake, expressing his amusement at the situation.
In the voice memo, Ross laughed and jokingly praised Drake for his talents while also acknowledging the absurdity of the situation.
According to Ross, Drake responded with a series of laughing emojis, further fueling the lightheartedness surrounding the incident.
“We was just looking at the s–. It’s like crazy bro, like goddamn. You’re blessed with your voice, you’re blessed with performing, you’re blessed to be you, you’re blessed to be number one – but you’re also blessed to have a f–ing missile.” – Adin Ross
Drake’s Next Album Intro?
In a twist that only Drake could pull off, Adin Ross claimed that Drake mentioned the possibility of using the voice memo as the intro to his next album.
This unexpected response from Drake showcased his ability to turn an uncomfortable situation into something light-hearted and potentially even beneficial for his music career.
Protecting Artists from Deepfake Content
Just weeks prior, the platform formerly known as Twitter, now called X, made efforts to remove AI-generated deepfake pornographic material featuring Taylor Swift.
These actions were aimed at protecting Swift’s likeness from being exploited and abused.
While X has not yet commented on the video allegedly featuring Drake, it highlights the need for stricter measures to prevent the spread of such content.
Drake’s Take on Awards Shows
In the midst of the video leak controversy, Drake also made headlines for his critical take on awards shows, specifically the Grammys.
Taking to his Instagram story, Drake expressed his opinion that awards shows like the Grammys do not hold the same weight as they once did.
He emphasized that these shows are merely the opinions of a select group of individuals and do not dictate the true value of an artist’s work.
Drake’s candid remarks shed light on the often-controversial nature of award ceremonies in the music industry.
“All you incredible artists remember this show isn’t the facts – it’s just the opinion of a group of people whose names are kept a secret. Literally. You can Google it. Congrats to anybody winning anything for hip-hop, but this show doesn’t dictate s– in our world.” – Drake
The Power of Social Media
Within moments, news spreads like wildfire, and celebrities find themselves at the mercy of the online world.
Drake’s ability to navigate these situations with humor and grace showcases his understanding of the digital landscape and his connection with his fans.
