Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz are 90s style icons and always will be, but lately, they’re being praised for something else…
On Wednesday, Barrymore posted a pic to Instagram with her “bestie” and former Charlie’s Angels co-star Cameron Diaz.
The pair embraced their natural beauty and thousands of fans jumped on the opportunity to compliment them both on “aging gracefully.”
In just 1 day the post has gained almost 1.5 million likes on the social media platform and received countless comments from adoring fans…
One Instagram user wrote: “I love this, beauty without filters, and enhancers. This is what social media needs more of.”
While another gushed: “Gorgeous, love how you’re embracing your age gracefully.”
A third chimed in, writing: “I love that you are both so natural with no botox and fillers!!! Aging naturally is Amazing.”
However, Diaz has experimented with botox in the past, before realizing that it wasn’t for her…
After the release of her book The Body Book back in 2014, in which she helps people love their natural bodies, Diaz shared with Entertainment Tonight: “I’ve tried [Botox] before, where it was like [a] little tiny touch of something. It changed my face in such a weird way that I was like, ‘No, I don’t want to [be] like [that]’ … I’d rather see my face aging than a face that doesn’t belong to me at all.”
Diaz even went on to write The Longevity Book in 2016, in which she celebrates getting older.
She snapped a picture with the book on Instagram alongside the caption: “I’m so excited to continue the conversation because learning that you can age well, will actually help you age better. If you understand how your body works then you can take action to help keep it in the best possible condition so it can carry you through a long and beautiful life.”
But despite Diaz’s dabble with cosmetic surgery, Barrymore has sworn never to go under the knife in any way, shape, or form…
She even admitted to Glamour in 2019: “Not messing with my face or chasing some unnatural beauty is a standard I live by.”
Later adding: “I feel aging is a privilege. It’s about how to do it gracefully, with humor, self-love, and respect for the process, and that’s always been really important to me.”
They are true role models!
