It's safe to say that veganism is taking over the world.
The general consensus in 2021 seems to be that consuming meat is harming the planet and just plain cruel.
More people are now ditching their steaks and switching to a plant-based diet.
Trying to make wiser decisions about their food consumption.
But what does plant-based mean?
It's a phrase that's thrown around an awful lot these days but, to put it simply, the term plant-based is used to describe a diet that cuts out all (or most, in some cases) animal-based products, such as meat, fish, and dairy.
The lifestyle choice has been steadily on the rise for the last couple of years...
Whether it be for health reasons or more ethical concerns, the trend of cutting out animal products from food and drink is completely booming.
And many of those who have cut out animal products like to encourage people to do the same.
May that be through word of mouth, on social media, or a protest.
One group of vegan protestors took to the street of Melbourne recently to protest the killing of animals for food.
But while silently rallying they were joined by 2 unwelcome passerbys.
2 men decided to join the group, eating chicken in front of them and filming it for TikTok.
And while those at the protest handled it in an unexpected way, social media users have had a lot to say about their behaviour...
TikTok creators Nick and Bill uploaded a video of them eating a KFC in front of the pro-vegan protestors.
One of the 2 men even offered a protestor a bite of his chicken to which he declined.
The protestor responded, "I answered your question didn't I? I said no."
He then added, "I actually really appreciate these guys being here, it's creating a spectacle for others."
The stunt, which is likely to have been hopeful of bringing confrontation, in fact, did very much the opposite.
Those in the crowd remained calm while talking to them before walking away.
