Things have been looking very rocky for some time for Ellen DeGeneres and they only seem to be getting worse after a recent tweet concerning the Derek Chauvin trial...
The news comes just days after the former police officer was found guilty of murdering George Floyd.

Now, Ellen DeGeneres has not had a good couple of years.
The infamous host of The Ellen Show has been batting off accusation after accusation.
When your entire personality is built on being nice...
One small allegation can have things falling apart very quickly.
Which is exactly what seems to have happened!
via: GettyWhat started as a trickle of bad press very quickly became a flood.
And, since last year, things have reached a breaking point.
via: GettyNow, more than ever before, people are starting to turn against the star as detrimental stories continue to resurface.
Her past employees certainly haven't held back.
BTS secrets of diva behavior, poor treatment of staff, and even more serious allegations have come to the surface.
How did it stay hidden for so long?!
via: GettyWell, many fans are looking back over the series and asking the very same questions.
Because, as it turns out...
Many think Ellen has always been problematic!
As these clips prove...
Let's start with her treatment of Sophia Vergara...
Vergara is known for her strong Colombian accent which Ellen has always found (oddly) to be hilarious.
Ellen was seen repeatedly mocking Vergara during an episode a few years back...
I don’t agree to cancel culture. If you replace Ellen you better cancel the show and call it a day. I’m not a fan… https://t.co/AqNaWoELrq— Aurea Freniere ✪ (@Aurea Freniere ✪)1596813430.0
She even did some extremely uncomfortable imitations of the star. Not a good look, Ellen.
The next unfortunate Ellen moment concerns a gift...
It was a drawing of Ellen...
Alongside her wife, Portia de Rossi.
But instead of being grateful for the gesture? She brutally mocked it.
In fact, Ellen dedicated an entire segment on the topic...
She even went as far as calling it "Ellen Reviews Fans' Really Bad Gifts."
Mocking fans' kind gestures? Not cool, Ellen.
These are just mere examples of Ellen's behavior...
Despite issuing an apology last year, Ellen seems to have seriously damaged her show's reputation...
Because the show has allegedly been struggling to secure advertisers, book A-list celebrities, and experienced a huge dip in ratings over last summer - which in TV talk is very bad news.
A staff member who works for The Ellen Show spoke out about what's been happening.
Speaking to Insider, they revealed:
"We're trying to be a content house, but we have no content. For the first time, everyone was starting to ask us, 'If you have an idea, tell us because we will listen. If you have an idea for a celeb, even if they're not A-list or famous, we'll take anyone who will bring us numbers and eyeballs'."
But the latest statistics show that the condition of the show is even worse than anyone knew.
The loss of more than a million viewers since September translates to a 43% decline for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show," representing a steeper drop than any of its competitors. https://t.co/E8V7MDxS5C pic.twitter.com/xAttEAvp6j— The New York Times (@nytimes) March 22, 2021
With The Ellen Show losing more than a million subscribers all due to the scandals surrounding it.
And if you thought that was bad, things continue to get worse for the host all because of one tweet...
After the guilty verdicts were announced during Derek Chauvin's trial, DeGeneres took to Twitter to post her thoughts.
However, it didn't sit well with a lot of people...
Not justice. Justice would be safety.— red-mac (@alimac909) April 20, 2021
Maybe a step toward accountability Let’s wait til sentencing find out if that’s gonna happen.
Actually, quite the opposite.— 𝚂𝚊𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚑𝚊 𝙰𝚛𝚖𝚜 (@SLeftrick) April 20, 2021
This isn’t justice. This is accountability. In a just society, George Floyd would be alive.— Lori (@Shnerfle) April 20, 2021
White privilege is looking at this and saying justice. While in reality it’s holding people accountable for their actions. Ellen Degeners has been apart of the problem for years.— IconicCloset (@ClosetIconic) April 21, 2021
Justice is when he actually serves the full extent of the time of his charges. We have seen too many times, the conviction followed by small sentences...— OmakaRocks 🇺🇸 🇳🇬 🇩🇰 (@OMAKAROCKS) April 20, 2021
We are not finished. Justice will be served when he is sentenced!
Not justice. Justice would be people not getting discriminately killed by police in the first place.— Scott (@ScottRoiter) April 20, 2021
Sorry Ellen, but as good as it is to hear the news, this is nowhere NEAR justice. It's a single small step toward accountability perhaps...— Gordon Dunlap (@GordonD_5280) April 20, 2021
Accountability. Justice is a much larger issue.— Katie (@katiejmcdonald) April 20, 2021
How about RESPONSIBILITY!!!— Jennifer Brackett (@JennB826) April 20, 2021
