Now, the world-renowned Met Gala took place last night and hundreds of celebrities arrived dressed to impress.

And as ever, the celebrities at the Met Gala had us all talking this year — for both the right and wrong reasons…

We saw the like of Kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell and Billie Eilish grace the carpet.

All in outfits that were quite something else.

So let’s take a look at some of the best (and worst) looks that walked the red carpet…

Best: Blake Lively…

  via Getty Images

She served us two looks in one, inspired by the Statue of Liberty — iconic.

Worst: Addison Rae…

  via Getty Images

C’mon now… this is just not good.

Best: Danai Gurira…

  via Getty Images

We love this color, plus the subtle nod to colonial history.

Best: Sabrina Carpenter…

  via Getty Images

Sure, it’s a little obvious, but you can’t go wrong with a sparkly gold mega train.

Best: Winnie Harlow…

  via Getty Images

That headpiece is absolutely everything.

Worst: Phoebe Bridgers…

  via Getty Images

We love the slicked-back hair, but boy is this dress a letdown.

Best: Claire Danes…

  via Getty Images

It looks so expensive — and the veil is a lovely little bonus.

Best: Teyana Taylor…

  via Getty Images

Like a beautiful floaty storm cloud.

Worst: Kodi Smit-McPhee…

  via Getty Images

We appreciate the efforts to try something different, but it’s a no from us.

Worst: Marcus Mumford…

  via Getty Images

Yawn — this is just so boring!

Best: Huma Abedin…

  via Getty Images

It’s a little bit simple, but the draped yellow fabric really works for us.

Worst: Paloma Essler…

  via Getty Images

Something about this lingerie-esque look just screams a little “cheap.”

Best: Maisie Williams…

  via Getty Images

The sequin headpiece takes this already cool look to the next level.

Worst: Dakota Johnson…

  via Getty Images

We actually like the look, but we can’t say it fits the theme.

Worst: Lily Aldridge…

  via Getty Images

Sorry, but this is just a big ol’ wasted opportunity.

Best: Dove Cameron…

  via Getty Images

This is just so intricate and delicate — we have to stan.

Best: Iris van Herpen…

  via Getty Images

It’s giving Cher, and for that reason, it’s a yes from us!

Best: Bad Bunny…

  via Getty Images

Sorry to say, we have no notes. Love.

Worst: Kate Moss…

  via Getty Images

Kate, we expected more from you. Not angry, just disappointed.

Best: Naomi Campbell…

  via Getty Images

Face jewelry really does take any look to the next level.

Worst: Karlie Kloss…

  via Getty Images

It’s not necessarily bad — but it’s just not good.

Worst: Zac Posen…

  via Getty Images

You can’t just wear any old tux and expect us to be thrilled.

Best: Lila Moss…

  via Getty Images

We’re not really sure it fits the theme — but we’re also not sure we that we care. So gorgeous!

Worst: Irina Shayk…

  via Getty Images

Maybe we’re missing a reference point, but we’re distinctly underwhelmed.

Best: Eliza Gonzalez…

  via Getty Images

It’s giving Bjork’s swan dress in the best possible way.

Worst: Chloe Bailey…

  via Getty Images

Waaay too lumpy for our liking.

Worst: Kylie Jenner…

  via Getty Images

It’s all bad, from head to toe.

Best: Billie Eilish…

  via Getty Images

A strong contender for our favorite look of the night.

Worst: Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian…

  via Getty Images

His is a bit dull, but hers is just inexplicably poor.

Best: Sydney Sweeney…

  via Getty Images

We love a two-in-one look, and hers are both just angelic.

Best: Megan Thee Stallion…

  via Getty Images

Perhaps it’s a rather literal take on “gilded” but it works for us.

Worst: Maggie Rogers…

  via Getty Images

There are really few redeeming features to this look.

Best: Gigi Hadid…

  via Getty Images

We want this coat!

Worst: Gwen Stefani…

  via Getty Images

We love this color — but that’s all we like.

Best: Hailey Bieber…

  via Getty Images

We’re suckers for some white marabou feathers, as this look proves.

Best: Katy Perry…

  via Getty Images

Now this is simple done right.

Worst: Hillary Clinton…

  via Getty Images

This reminds us of The Handmaid’s Tale — and not in a good way.

Worst: Emily Ratajkowski…

  via Getty Images

There’s way too much going on, and we don’t like any of it.

Worst: Amy Schumer…

  via Getty Images

Genuinely one of the worst looks we’ve ever seen.

Best: Alexa Chung…

  via Getty Images

Keeping it simple but still looking absolutely perfect.

Worst: Natasha Poonawalla…

  via Getty Images

This is just a little bit too costume-y for us.

Worst: Anna Wintour…

  via Getty Images

It’s not necessarily bad, just we expected so much more!

Best: Lizzo…

  via Getty Images

Yes, yes, and yes!

Worst: Olivia Rodrigo…

It’s a little bit boring, but what’s worse is the total lack of adherence to the theme!

Worst: Camilla Cabello…

  via Getty Images

It’s an absolute tragedy from head to toe.

Best: Nicola Coughlan…

  via Getty Images

So fun!

Best: Kim Kardashian…

  via Getty Images

The idea is better than the execution, but she does look fab.

Best: Cardi B…

  via Getty Images

The intricate details on this chainmail dress are simply stunning.

And finally, we have Elon Musk…

  via Getty Images

Elon Musk stepped out in a pretty basic tux and he looked as uncomfortable as this outfit makes us feel.

Musk was accompanied to the Met Gala by his mom who wore a velvet Dior dress with Chopard jewelry, the Daily Mail reports.

Musk and his mom, Maye, a model, have both attended the Gala many times before.

It was Musk’s first time stepping out since his $44 billion Twitter purchase was confirmed.

The outlet reports that Musk was asked about his plans for the platform as he arrived at the Gala by La La Anthony.

“My goal, assuming everything gets done, is to make Twitter as inclusive as possible and to have as broad a swathe of people on Twitter as possible,” Musk responded, the outlet reports.

“And that it is entertaining and funny and they have as much fun as possible.”

What do you think about his Met Gala look?
