Elvis Presley's Grandson Dead at 27 | 22 Words

Benjamin Keough, Lisa Marie Presley's son and Elvis and Priscilla Presley's grandson, has died. He was 27 years old. According to TMZ, Keough died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Calabasas, CA.

Here are the details we have so far about this tragic event...

Benjamin Keough was the second oldest of Lisa Marie Presley's four children.

His older sister, Riley Keough, 31, is an actress who has starred in a number of blockbusters, most notably, Magic Mike, Mad Max: Fury Road, American Honey, and Logan Lucky. Riley and Benjamin's father, Danny Keough, also a musician, was married to Lisa Marie Presley from 1988 to 1994. A mere twenty days after their divorce, Presley famously married Michael Jackson, who she stayed married to until 1996. Presley subsequently married actor Nicholas Cage. The marriage lasted a total of 8 months from August 10, 2002, to November 25, 2002. Presley married a fourth time in 2006, this time to a musician in her band named Michael Lockwood. Together they had twin daughters, Harper Vivienne Ann and Finley Aaron Love (pictured above). The couple divorced in 2016.

Benjamin, like the rest of his famous family, was also a musician.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Benjamin "reportedly sign[ed] a $5 million record deal with Universal in 2009 to record up to five albums. However, the label denied at the time that any such deal had been struck." Nothing ever materialized from the deal, and no music was released.

Benjamin's middle name is Storm, which has special meaning to his mom.

Presley wrote a song entitled Storm and Grace with the lyrics, "You have the most beautiful heart/That I’ve ever known/It kills me you can’t ever show it/And a shell has been grown."

Benjamin also bore a striking resemblance to his famous grandfather, Elvis.

The comparisons didn't end with music. Benjamin notably looked very much like his incredibly famous grandfather. From the heavily-lidded eyes to the straight nose and pouty mouth, the resemblance is more than apparent.

Our hearts go out to the Keough and Presley families at this incredibly difficult time.
