This comes as an employment lawyer has warned people not to let employers think that ‘they’re family’ in a video posted to TikTok.

The woman, going by the username @delyannethemoneycoach, gave advice for everybody’s “own good,” and what she said sparked many opinions…

“Your coworkers are not your family, your boss is not your friend, and your company is not your community or your tribe,” she began making her point.

“I worked as an employment attorney for fourteen years and I’ve seen very loyal employees be treated like garbage when sh*t hit the fan.

“That’s why I am here educating you guys about saving and investing in your money so that you have FU money and an exit strategy when this happens,” she continued.

One person took to the comment section of her video to share their experience by saying: “This happened to me. My boss became verbally abusive and now I have to take medication yay lmao.”

“I love that she said “WHEN THIS HAPPENS” because BEST BELIEVE, it’s going to happen,” somebody else commented.
