American actress Mary Mara has tragically passed away.

The actress was discovered on Sunday morning in the town of Cape Vincent, according to TMZ.

The 61-year-old actress, who was a Syracuse resident, went on to act in a number of TV shows and movies.
Among her TV credits were ER, NYPD Blue, Law and Order, and Lost to name a few…

She also starred in Mr. Saturday Night, The Hard Way, and Love Potion #9.
Mara appeared in 20 movies and 40 TV shows, throughout her impressive career.

They responded to a call for a possible drowning in the river at around 8am and when they arrived they found the actress’ body in the water.
She had jumped in the river for exercise.
And, according to New York State Police, had sadly drowned.
TMZ reports that the preliminary investigation showed no signs of foul play. Her body was then taken to the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
