'ER' Star Dearon 'Deezer D' Thompson Dies Age 55 | 22 Words

It has been confirmed today that ER star, Dearon Thompson, has tragically passed away.

He was just fifty-five-years-old...

And since the news of his untimely death broke, tributes from his heartbroken co-stars and fans alike have been flooding in.

Thompson first rose to fame when he landed the role of Malik McGrath on the medical drama, ER.

He appeared in almost 200 episodes between the pilot in 2004 and the final episode in 2009.

He also starred in the Chris Rock film, CB4 in 1993...

And Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion in 1997, as well as having roles in Bringing Down The House, Fear of a Black Hat, and In The Mix.

Thompson was also a musician...

Having released the rap albums, Livin’ Up in a Down World and Delayed, But Not Denied.

On top of his other projects, the actor worked as a motivational speaker and a trainer...

With his last Instagram post from just 3 days ago showing a woman working out in the gym, with the caption: "My clients stay ready."

He was due to release new music this week...

And had been posting snippets to a new track just days before his death with the caption: "2021 Drops Next Week! Apple Music and Spotify and YouTube."

However, tragedy struck.

TMZ has reported today that, on the morning of January 7th, Thompson was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home.

It is unclear as to whether Thompson was suffering from any pre-existing medical conditions...

But it is known that he had undergone major heart surgery in 2009 to replace his aorta.

His brother, Marshawn, quickly addressed the unexpected tragedy...

And said that he suspects he may have died from a heart attack - though an official cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

Thompson is survived by his fourteen-year-old son.
