After a week of speculation, Eva Mendes has cleared the rumors and confirmed she secretly married Ryan Gosling.
She opened up about it during an appearance on Australia’s Kyle and Jackie O Show podcast.

Eva Mendes was born in Miami, Florida, to Cuban parents Eva Pérez Suárez and Juan Carlos Méndez.
However, she was mainly raised in LA neighborhood of Silver Lake after her parents’ divorce.
She grew up as a Roman Catholic.
At one point, she even considered becoming a Catholic nun.
Her mother worked at Mann’s Chinese Theatre and later for an aerospace company.
Her father, however, ran a meat distribution business.
As for her siblings, she’s had an older brother, Juan Carlos Méndez, Jr., who sadly passed from throat cancer in 2016.
She has an older sister, Janet, and a younger paternal half-brother, Carlos Alberto.
Mendes attended Hoover High School in Glendale.
She later on undertook marketing as her main field of study at California State University.
However, she left to pursue her career in acting.
Mendes broke into the industry after a talent manager saw her photo in a friend’s portfolio.
Her first movie role was Children of The Corn V: Fields of Terror, which was released in 1998,
However, she was disappointed in her performance and hired an acting coach.
Mendes then went on to appear in several other movies, such as Urban Legends: Final Cut, which was released in 2000.
But her breakthrough came in 2001 when she starred in Training Day.
Mendes had since co-starred in movies such as All About the Benjamins (2002)…
2 fast 2 furious (2003), Ghost Rider (2007), and We Own the Night (2007).
She was also the female lead in the 2005 movie Hitch, making her one of the first minority actors to play the lead in a hit romantic comedy.
As well as acting she also has a modeling career under her belt.
Mendes has been a model and ambassador for several brands.
Including Cocio chocolate milk, Magnum ice cream, Calvin Klein, Cartier, and Thierry Mugler perfume.
In 2007, she appeared in a Calvin Klein’s Secret Obsession perfume ad.
However, it was banned due to nudity.
Due to the ad, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) used a nude photo of Mendes for their anti-fur campaign.
Mendes was also a spokesmodel for the 2008 Campari calendar.
In July 2008, she was announced as the international face of Australia’s 30 Days of Fashion & Beauty event.
Since then, she’s made guest appearances in the country at the month-long festival in September.
From acting to modeling to becoming a businesswoman, Mendes has pretty much done it all.
Though her career was in the public eye, her relationship with actor Ryan Gosling has been kept quiet for a long time.
Currently, the couple has 7-year-old Esmeralda and 6-year-old Amada.
And although they are a very private family, Mendes opened up about their parenting style during an interview with Forbes.
She described raising the kids and running the household as a “team effort.”
“I’m not an amazing cook — I leave that to Ryan,” Mendes explained.
“Hopefully it’s showing my girls that there are no gender-specific roles that one must take on and that we are partners in this and that we’re all partners in this, not just Ryan and I, but our children as well.
“If they see him and I switching off doing certain things that, again, aren’t specific to stereotypical gender things, I think that just creates balance and harmony,” she said.

“They are talking about gender-specific roles as far as cooking, cleaning, yard work, etc. Nothing wrong with that,” wrote one approving fan.
“I would do anything Ryan Gosling wanted me to,” another joked.
But more recently, Mendes has given an insight into her relationship with Gosling.
The pair were known as longtime boyfriend and girlfriend…
But it seems like they may have tied the knot from a cryptic photo Mendes posted on Instagram.
The photo, which was uploaded on Tuesday, shows Mendes covering her face with her wrist exposed, showing her tattoo.
Her tattoo says “de Gosling.”
In Hispanic culture, the term “de” usually unifies the woman’s last name to her husband after getting married.
So the actress’ tattoo means “Mrs. Gosling.”
However, this wasn’t the first time Mendes has shown off her tattoo.
Back in September, she shared a photo on Instagram, subtly displaying the tattoo while showing off a field of flowers.

When Mendes was asked about the rumors going around of them being secretly married on Australia’s Kyle and Jackie O Show podcast…
She replied: “But who says we weren’t already? I like to keep it all mysterious. I’m a very mysterious woman.”
As for the wrist tattoo, which was speculated to be a cryptic message of her marriage with Gosling, she said she got it “years ago,” hinting at the fact that they’ve been married for quite some time now.
It seems as though Mendes prefers to keep her personal life private, and even admitted back in 2020 she doesn’t post personal photos of her partner or children.
“My man and kids are private. That’s important to me so thanks for getting that,” she said in an Instagram comment.
