It has just been announced that actress Natalie Desselle-Reid has tragically died at the age of fifty-three.

The tributes have already come flooding in for the actress.

It's clearly such a huge loss.

Now, Natalie Desselle-Reid was best known for her incredible career as an actress.

Hailing from Louisianna, Natalie developed a deep interest in theatre and performance while studying at Grambling State University.

She began her acting career in 1996 when she was in the movie Set it Off.

She was also the evil step-sister Minerva in the made-for-television version of Cinderella.

Natalie went on to star in numerous movies and TV shows...

Such as For Your Love (1998), Eve (2003), and Madea's Big Happy Family (2010).

But as all of her fans know...

Her role as Mickey in the 1997 B.A.P.S is definitely her most iconic.

But the tragic news has reached us today that Natalie's life has come to an end.

The veteran comedic actress sadly passed away on December 7th at the age of fifty-three.

She leaves behind her husband Leonard...

And their 3 children.

A family member confirmed to TMZ that Natalie passed away after battling colon cancer.

She was diagnosed earlier this year and she spent her final days in a hospice surrounded by family, it has been reported.

An official statement read:

"It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the loss of our beautiful Natalie this morning. She was a bright light in this world. A queen. An extraordinary mother and wife."
