Your outdoor space is a sacred space, it should be somewhere that makes you feel comfortable, happy, and right at home. It’s hard to plan for all weather when you’re getting your outdoor space put together, but there are a lot of things that work in any season and the few that don’t can easily be stored out of the way until it’s their turn to shine. I love my outdoor space and I like to give it a little sprucing at the start of the summer season and this is a list of some of my favorite outdoor products I’ve been using to make my space extra special.
Whether you’re a lounger and want something like a swinging chair or you’re a picnic-er and want something to give you a little more shade, like this canopy, I’ve got you covered with this one. Cozy blankets? Check. String lights? Check. Fire pit? Check! I’ve got it all.
Take a Load Off
Swing chairs are my idea of heaven; heaven is just covered in swing chairs and coffee shops. This swing chair is particularly comfy and it’s got support all the way up to the top, which isn’t something you can easily find in chairs like these. This will really add some dimension and comfort to any outdoor space.
Get Cozy
You can’t have a good outdoor space if it’s not also a cozy outdoor space! This blanket is terrific because it’s built for the outdoors and even has a water-resistant exterior so I can bring it camping with me or leave it out after a party and not worry about the dew ruining it!
Bring in Some Mood Lighting
String lights are always the move, let’s be honest. They add ambiance, they alter the mood, and they make an area look fun and magical. It’s just something about them. These globe string lights are my favorite to use and they give off a nice, diffuse glow that isn’t too harsh but sheds plenty of light.
Add Light to Unexpected Places
I don’t have much of a porch, so I had never considered lighting on the railing before, but I saw it at a friend’s house and had to have it! I love how simple and elegant this is. It gives a really finished, polished look to the space and gives me some extra lighting.
Kick My Feet Up
Footstools are great, but not so much for the outdoors. Until now! This footstool is blown up with a hand pump and it can be easily deflated and stowed away on particularly rainy days. It’s also dirt resistant and can be wiped down easily and quickly.
Lounge Around
Everyone needs a good lounger, whether you’ve got a pool or not. This lounger just happens to be great for the pool and the backyard. Plus, it folds, so I can take it just about anywhere and that brings that comfy outdoor space wherever I go.
Fire Pit, but Make It Safe
Everyone loves a good fire pit, but there’s no denying that they’re not very safe. This pit gives me a safe and solid place to start a fire and keep it going without worrying about friends or kids falling into it. I’m never leaving my backyard again!
Keep the Weather Out of Your Stuff
It’s great to have things outside that make it a homier and happier place to be, but those things aren’t always weatherproof. Fortunately, this awesome storage box exists so I can keep all of my things safely tucked away and out of the way of rain and overly sunny days.
I’ve Gotta Have This Plant Shelf
My plants deserve a nice place to stay, just like me, which is why I love this awesome shelf. I can keep all of my plants arranged just the way I like them and keep them out of the way of the main action in my outdoor space — a win-win!
Keep an Eye on My Tubers
Whether you’ve got small kids that want to keep an eye on their growing veggies, or you just like to know what’s going on under the ground, these growing bins are gonna be new faves. The window flap lets me keep an eye on it all without disturbing the growth.
Keep Plants in Order
When I first plant your new babies, I can’t always tell the difference between each one. It’s not just me! It’s everyone. Fortunately, these awesome bamboo tags exist to help keep them all straight until they grow and bloom and I can tell them apart myself.
Add Some Dimension to the Space
I love these plant stands. They can hang on my porch railing or over a window ledge; if they sits, they fits, you know what I mean? They’re an easy way to add dimension and levels to my outdoor space so I can keep it looking interesting and exciting.
Let Guests Know They’re Welcome
If you’d like to let guests know where they stand as visitors, try this cute welcome mat. It’ll add a little friendly touch to your front door. If you don’t like people you can still get this mat; just ignore the doorbell when it rings. That’s what I do, anyway.
This Outdoor Rug Is My Favorite
Good outdoor rugs aren’t easy to find, but they’re a great addition to any outdoor space. This rug is especially great for your front porch/yard area so I can give my guests plenty of room to dust the dirt off their feet before they head into my clean house.
Add a Sweet Accent
Wreaths are underrated, IMHO. It’s an easy way to get my outdoor space in the seasonal spirit, no matter what season it may be. I love this simple, eucalyptus wreath because it could work in any season, though it’s especially great for spring and summer, and any outdoor space, large or small.
Give Visitors a Sign
If mats aren’t your thing, you can try this gorgeous welcome sign. It hangs just like a wreath, but it lets your guests know they’re always welcome here. This could even work as a cute decoration in the backyard to announce where guests should congregate for my next BBQ gathering.
Keep It Cozy
An outdoor space is only as good as its cozy accessories. These blankets are such a beautiful way to stay cozy around the fire or gathered on my outdoor furniture. They’re designed to endure the outdoor spaces, so no need to worry about damaging them by taking them out there!
Complete Your Space
Throw pillows are the best way to complete an outdoor space. I need pillows to give it that homey feel! These are water-resistant and designed specifically for outdoor space, though you shouldn’t leave them out during extreme rain as they may take a while to dry out. Plus, they’re a fun pattern with bright colors; what’s not to love?
Fall in Love These Fun Pillow Covers
I know I will! Pillow covers are such a fun way to add my own style and accent to existing throw pillows. I’ve got to change it up every now and again. These can go right over my existing outdoor pillows whenever I’m feeling the need for a little more sunshine.
You Can’t Have Too Much Light
Especially not if they’re these great lights. These are a great complement to an outdoor space. They’re designed to hang on a wall or maybe a trellis — something strong enough to hold them up and keep them steady and where they belong so I can enjoy them for years to come.

Not all of my outdoor plants are in a place where they can get enough water, but when that’s the case, they still have to get that good hydration in some way or another. This watering can is a stylish and effective way to deliver it to them!

Aprons are an underrated tool. They’re a great way to keep all sorts of mess off of my front while I’m working; in the garden, in the workshop, or even while barbecuing. This heavy-duty, denim apron is my favorite because it’s cute and effective at keeping you clean and fresh looking, no matter how long I’m outside.
Show Off the Fruits of My Labor
If you’re a gardener, you know how good it feels to share your fruits and veggies with the people you love, and this basket gives me a gorgeous place to do just that. I can pluck them right out of the ground, or off the vine, and serve them up in this beautiful basket.
Add Some Shade
An outdoor space is great, but not if there’s no shade! It’s too hot to be out there playing around or eating a lovely picnic without a little cover from that strong sun. This canopy is easy to pop up and put back down so it’s only out when I need it out!

It’s awesome to have outdoor seating, but it’s even more awesome to have outdoor lounging, which is what you get with this great footrest. It pairs with my favorite Adirondack chair, they’re just so elegant and aesthetic, so I can lounge around and look classy while doing it.
A Table for All Outdoor Spaces
This tiny coffee table is designed to be outdoors, so rest assured that it won’t be damaged by the rain and sun. It gives me a great surface to rest my snacks and drinks, or a nice surface for my plant babies to get a little closer to the sun.
Keep It All Together
You never think about how important things like trays are, but they really give me a good place to keep all my things together, especially if you’re running low on surfaces. And they’re easy to bring from the outside in and vice versa so my coffee or snacks can follow me everywhere I go.
Bring the Light Wherever I Go
Wherever I’m in my outdoor space, this noodle-shaped light can go with me. It’s easy to string up, or lay down, wherever I need so I can get the best visual. It also makes a great camping tool and even comes with a bag it can be coiled into so it becomes a sort of lantern.
Lean into Relaxation
Hammocks are pretty easy to put up and take down so I can bring one in and out whenever it suits me; take it on trips or leave it strung up outside my home. Whatever I do, I’ll be comfy and relaxed when I stretch back into it.
This Solar Powered Lantern Is a Must-Have
I’m all about multi-functionality, and this lantern is definitely that! You can charge your phone and light up the night with this solar-powered gadget. It’s awesome for your kids’ “camping trips” to your backyard or when you’ve got to run out in the dark to find the phone you left in the grass.
Put These Puck Lights Anywhere
Not just for the indoors! I use this outside in my husband’s workspace and it’s awesome. It’s a great way to add a little extra light in those places where the bulbs don’t quite reach. I put them pretty much anywhere and they’re a breeze to put up and move around as needed.
Change It Up
These lights are for the folks that like to change things up often. I can adjust the color, with the awesome included remote, to suit my mood. Add some extra fun to the party or tone it down for a low-key evening with the family.
Get My Lights Where I Want Them
Trees don’t always grow in a way that’s ideal for stringing lights. When that happens, these posts come in handy! I can plant these bad boys down and string my lights up wherever I like. They’re pretty easy to readjust as well if I need to, which is always ideal.
Lights for Any Occasion
String lights are my favorite, it doesn’t matter what they look like or how small or large the bulbs are. I love using them! They’re just a great and easy way to change up your space and to add a little ~magic~ to it. You could even hang these on the aforementioned light posts.
Shed Some Sun-Light
These garden lights are solar-powered so I can add light wherever I need to, no need to worry about ugly, difficult cords anymore. These stake right into the ground like all the others, but they turn on when the sun goes down once they’ve been all juiced up by its rays.
Entertain for Hours
This tiki toss game is advertised as something for kids, but I think I would enjoy the heck out of it, so I’m imagining other adults out there might, too. Either way, this is a great backyard game for those with families, especially. It’ll keep everyone occupied for hours.
Bring the Snack Station Everywhere
Are you a tailgater? Do your kids play a lot of sports? Is your backyard lacking a good snack station? This pop-up table is the answer to all the troubles! The top has four cup holders and a holder for my favorite eats and the bottom has an insulated holder for my favorite cold beverages. It’s got it all!
