Fans Hailing the Return of ‘Mr Bean’ in Rowan Atkinson’s New Series ‘Man vs Bee’

Rowan Atkinson’s new series Man vs Bee has had fans praising the actor for the return of Mr Bean.

The ten-episode comedy, aired on Netflix, has fans pointing out strict comparisons between his new character Trevor and the iconic Mr Bean.

Although Atkinson has been hailed for his performance, fans cannot stop praising the actor, labeling his comedy as a “stress reliever.”

While another fan tweeted: “No one does physical comedy as well as Rowan Atkinson.”

The official Netflix synopsis for Man vs Bee reads: “Bumbling dad Trevor tries to get the best of a cunning bee whilst house-sitting a posh mansion – but only unleashes more chaos.”

In the show’s trailer, Trevor can be seen getting himself into “all sorts of mischief” according to the LADbible.

And yes, Trevor has a hard time getting rid of the troublesome insect…

The show was created by Atkinson himself alongside Johnny English writer William Davies. The comedy skit also stars Jing Lusi from Crazy Rich Asians and Notting Hill actor Julian Rhind-Tutt as the home’s owners.

While Claudie Blakely plays the role of Trevor’s ex and Greg Mchugh as the home’s gardener. 

Fans enjoyed making comparisons between Trevor and Mr Bean, but Atkinson recently revealed he “didn’t enjoy” playing the iconic role…

According to The Guardian, the actor confessed: “I don’t much enjoy playing him. The weight of responsibility is not pleasant. I find it stressful and exhausting, and I look forward to the end of it.”
