Adele often refers to herself as being a humble South London girl…

But that persona seems to have been shattered by the obnoxious prices fans will have to pay to see her perform…

Have a look for yourselves.

Now, if you’ve been living under a rock, then you might not know who Adele is…

A British-born-and-bred singer with the ability to stun audiences with her powerful voice, Adele brought back a classic ballad vibe to the music industry.

The first of her hits to enter the Billboard Hot 100 was “Chasing Pavements.”

While the song was tucked away among other more pop-infused beats, it managed to rank pretty well, climbing its way to slot twenty-one as the lead single from her debut album.

Then followed her debut album, 19.

19, along with her second follow-up album 21 earned her immense critical praise, and the success of both the albums cemented her in the industry.

And things only went up from there…

After taking a break to focus on her personal life in 2012, Adele returned back to the scene with her sensational hit “Hello.”

And that became the song of the year in 2015.

Shortly after, she released her next album, 25, which featured iconic songs such as “Send My Love (To Your New Lover).” If you haven’t listened to that album, please do yourself a favor and add it to your playlist. You will not be disappointed.

The singer has sold millions of songs worldwide…

Her list of achievements is outstanding, to say the least.
Adele has fifteen Grammys as well as an Oscar tucked nicely under her belt and the list is expected to grow as rumors of her new album have left everyone feeling giddy with excitement. We’ve waited long enough!

But her success isn’t the only thing that fans are talking about right now…

According to the word on the street (also known as Twitter), Adele has undergone one of the most amazing transformations they have ever seen.

advertisement

She is typically known for her stripped back, casual style of dressing…

But she has completely switched it up over recent years.

Adele has always been gorgeous, but she often spoke out about how she wasn’t happy with her body.

And that’s fine. Everyone’s allowed to have their personal goals about what they want to look like. It doesn’t take anything away from her amazing talent as a singer.

A source told The Sun:

“Adele has been out enjoying herself and she sees that as her priority at the moment, along with being a [mom] to Angelo.”

“She has been loving her new workout regime and it really works for her.”

“It’s a bonus that she has shifted some weight. Her mates are glad she’s letting loose and there’s nothing but good feelings towards her. She’s got a new lease of life.”

Due to her weight loss, her mental health has improved too.

But how did the hit-maker manage to get to this point? In 2016, when she spoke to Vogue, she revealed some of the little tips she implemented into her life to make the drastic change. This included pilates and cutting out tea from her life.

It’s safe to say…

That Adele is looking better than ever.

But not only does Adele look amazing…

She looks happy. And if she’s happy, we’re happy.

It’s clear that Adele is loved by people all around the world.

But even the best-loved singers can do things wrong…

Last year, Adele was slammed by fans after she posted a picture to Instagram…

It showed her celebrating the Notting Hill Carnival in an outfit that many slammed as cultural appropriation.

In a picture shared to Instagram, Adele could be seen dressed in a bikini top with the Jamaican flag on it, while her hair had been tied into Bantu knots.
Alongside the picture, she wrote: “Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London 🇬🇧🇯🇲.”

At the time, Adele said nothing on the matter.

But she later gave her opinion on the controversial matter…

In an interview with Vogue, the singer admitted that she “totally get why people felt like it was appropriating.”

She explained that she could see the comments slamming her for not removing the picture but said that if she took it down, she would be “acting like it never happened.”
“And it did. I totally get why people felt like it was appropriating.”

“I had thought, if you don’t go dressed to celebrate the Jamaican culture – and in so many ways we’re so entwined in that part of London – then it’s a little bit like, ‘What you coming for, then?'”

Adding: “I didn’t read the f***ing room. I was wearing a hairstyle that is actually to protect Afro hair. Ruined mine, obviously.”

Now, after the backlash of the picture, Adele has come under fire once again…

This time for the price of her concert tickets…

Fans were shocked by how much they cost…

Prices for Adele’s London Hyde Park performances in July next year start at a whopping $124, and that’s just for general admission…

The prices are based on things like how close you are to the stage, bar access, and any VIP treatment during the show.

advertisement

However, prices quickly start to skyrocket…

Primary Entry tickets (to enter the gig before general admission ticket holders) are $153, Gold tickets are $378, and the Diamond VIP Experience is $524.

But it doesn’t stop there…

If you want access to the VIP Terrace, it’ll set you back $600, and the Ultimate Bar Diamond and Ultimate Terrace tickets are $800.

They even have payment plans set up for people who can’t afford the large payments upfront, which is most people.

And while the tickets do reflect the experience you’ll get, they’re still extortionate for a concert…

One disheartened fan wrote: “So sad that, as a key worker, I’m priced out of this. £90+ to watch via a big screen, or over £270 for a decent view. Would’ve loved to have been there, but no way I can justify the expense.”

While another said: “As a music fan, I regularly attend concerts but even I think that the ticket prices for Adele’s #hydepark show are scandalous.”

What do you think?
