The Met Gala took place last night, and once again, everyone was left stunned by Blake Lively’s dress transformation.
With fans even pointing out an easily missed detail on Blake Lively’s dresses over the years at the red carpet event.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are, without a doubt, Hollywood’s favorite couple…
And we simply cannot get enough of them.
The pair are undeniably couple goals.
Aside from being two of the most attractive people on the planet, they also seem to have an excellent sense of humor when it comes to their relationship.
The pair met back in 2010 on the set of Green Lantern where they struck up a friendship.
According to People, back in 2016, Reynolds said on SiriusXM’s Entertainment Weekly Radio Deadpool special that they were just “buddies for a long time.”
“About a year after Green Lantern had come and gone and we were both single we went on a double date,” he explained.
“She was on a date with another guy and I was on a date with another girl and it was like the most awkward date for the respective parties because we were just like fireworks coming across.”
Eventually, Reynolds and Lively began dating…
And in September 2012, the pair tied the knot.
The couple then went on to have 3 children together.
Their first daughter, James, was born in 2014 and 2 years later in 2016, they welcomed their second daughter, Inez.
Then, in October 2019, it was confirmed that the couple had welcomed their third child, another baby girl.
Over the years, Lively and Reynolds have gained huge support from fans.
Aside from being incredible parents, actors and having wicked senses of humor, they are also kind and decent human beings.
During the pandemic, the couple made a large and very generous donation to those in need during the crisis.
And amid the on-going war in Ukraine, Lively and Reynolds pledged to match donations up to $1 million.
It’s clear they have very big hearts.
Another reason fans love the couple is due to how supportive they are of each other.
And the other night at the Met Gala truly highlighted that…
The world-renowned Met Gala took place last night and hundreds of celebrities arrived dressed in their best looks.
But, one person whose outfit stood out was Blake Lively’s, and Reynolds’ face was priceless when he saw the gown transformation.
Taking to Twitter to share a video of Reynolds looking at Lively with his mouth open, one person wrote: “If he doesn’t look at you the way RYAN looks at BLAKE, Girl he is not the one.”
To which someone responded saying that it was the “sweetest ever.”
Sharing pictures of the pair, another person wrote: “Everyone needs a cheerleader like @VancityReynolds – His reaction to wife @blakelively at the #MetGala2022 was priceless.”
“Ryan’s Reaction to Blake’s Dress Reveal is all I am Living For,” said another.
Reynolds’ jaw reportedly dropped as he watched her pose for the cameras before it turned into a smile.
I mean, it’s understandable.
Lively has had some incredible dresses over the years, but last night’s dress might have topped them all.
Lively’s dress was long, strapless and copper with extra material gathered at the waist in fitting with the Met Gala’s 2022 theme of ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion.’
But then, as a shock to many, it transformed and changed color.
People were floored by the design.
While walking up the Met museum steps, Lively revealed her two-in-one dress, fitting with the ‘Gilded Glamour’ code.
The dress was inspired by the architecture of Manhattan and gave a nod to the Empire State Building.
After the bow was undone, a wave of blue fabric came flowing down to reveal constellation designs, replicating the decor at Grand Central station.
Her jewelry on the other hand was linked perfectly to the Statue of Liberty, with blue gloves to match.
“Instead of looking to fashion to influence the dress, I looked to New York City architecture and the classic buildings,” Lively told People.
She looks incredible!
But, this wasn’t the only dress people on social media are stunned by.
Because it looks like Lively has managed to match her dress to the color of the stairs every single year she has attended the red carpet event.
“Blake Lively is the queen of the met gala stairs and she knows it,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“Blake Lively matching the met gala stairs each year is a masterpiece,” another wrote.
“Blake Lively on the met gala stairs is everything to me,” another user expressed.
It’s safe to say that she has most definitely left a lot of people with their jaws on their floor each year.
Philip Bland, a decorative artist, in charge of painting the stairs for the gala has said that he does not think anybody knows the color of the carpet before they arrive.
“My hope is when the final design comes out, it doesn’t clash too much. If someone spent all this money on this beautiful dress and all of a sudden they get out there — I’m sure they don’t know what the carpet is gonna look like,” he said as per VT.
And that’s why it just makes it all the more impressive that she aces it every time.
