Our dogs are our best friends – they lounge with us, play with us, and jump for joy when we dig out their leash. All-in-all, many of us couldn’t imagine life without them.

So, naturally, the thought of our precious pooches going missing is unbearable – not knowing where they are, if they’re okay, or if they’ll ever find their way back home is unthinkable.

Luckily for one pooch who went missing, he found a more unconventional way of getting home… Keep scrolling to watch the clip for yourself.

These lovable and loyal companions make the perfect household pets, and it also helps that they’re so damn cute.

Whether they’re causing mischief, giving us those puppy eyes when they want a treat, or taking up the entire sofa, many of us couldn’t live without our furry friends.

There’s one thing it seems we can all agree on – our canine pals are too good for this world.

Because let’s face it, dogs are the most loyal pet you can have.

From the thumping of paws as they excitedly run to greet you when you return home, to relaxing evenings with your pup sprawled out on the couch next to you, they really are our best buddies.

It’s hard to imagine a life without having a pooch to come home to.

The thought of it alone is pretty unbearable.

It’s utterly heartwarming…

The doggo in question, named Catcher, managed to escape her home in Colorado while her owner, Lisa Menzies, was out of town.

And the front door was blown open by the wind after a contractor left to go for lunch.

She just couldn’t help but give in to her curious side.

“The wind blew the door open while I was gone, and Catcher escaped,” she explained to KFOR. “She could have wandered out to a busy road and you hate to think what’s going to happen then,” she added.

It must have been a truly terrifying watch for her owners. Keep scrolling for the footage…

A FedEx van pulled up outside the house with a special delivery in tow. The footage shows the unidentified driver stepping out of his van with Catcher in his arms and walking up the front path to deliver Catcher safely back in her home and locking the door behind him.
Lisa thanked the FedEx driver via text and tweeted the company to explain how grateful she is, but she still doesn’t know his name.

“He put her in the house with such care.” “Seeing him carry her into the house like that … in my head, I was thinking of the theme song from the Titanic. He was taking such care and love with her that it was really amusing,” Lisa explained. “He interrupted his day and his package delivery schedule to pick her up and hand-carry her into our home and lock the door behind him. I don’t want to think about where else she could have ended up.” What a sweet story? Fancy reading more like this? Keep scrolling to watch the moment a clever pooch reports himself missing…
