Social media is a great place to find motivation to improve your health and well-being, while also being a breeding ground for trolls and body-shaming.

Just ask Courtney Black, a twenty-year-old London-based fitness model who has gained 130,000 Instagram followers.

Black has chronicled her journey from an eating disorder to a healthy weight and body image, something that has taken a lot of time and a lot of hard work.

At her lowest point in 2015, the 5'3" Black weighed only 93 lbs. She described her obsessive regimen to The Daily Star:

Friends and family expressed concern for her health, so Black did some research and realized the damage her lifestyle was doing to her body.

She slowly overcame her issues and began the process putting on weight and muscle in a healthy way, sharing her badass workouts on Instagram. 

Understandably, her past is a sensitive topic, and it doesn't help when trolls leave comments shaming her for finally reaching a healthy weight.

That's exactly what happened when she recently posted some throwback images to celebrate how far she's come.

Most of the comments were positive, but it's the Internet, and there were comments telling her she should go back to starving herself.

Some even asked her for tips on how they too could lose a dangerous amount of weight.

She was so taken aback by the comments, she posted a video to address them.

She can handle the negativity, but she doesn't want other young women making her mistake.

"Striving to be skinny is in no way maintainable or good for you," she said. "I've embraced my curves now and realize how attractive they are." But more importantly, she's healthy — inside and out — which is something that everyone should strive for.
