Now, while exercise is a vital element in staying healthy and happy...
There's absolutely no doubt that many of us don't do enough of it!
Not only is working out a lot of effort...
But it is also extremely hard - especially for those who have lost a lot of their fitness.
An unbelievable amount of motivation is needed if you want to lose a bit of weight or improve your fitness...
Because honestly, the hard work and effort is so worth it to achieve good fitness and health!
But going to a gym or getting up at 6 am for a run isn't for everyone...
And, believe it or not, there are actually alternatives out there to spending hours and hours sweating in the gym when it comes to losing weight.
Well, this is what brings us back to today's fascinating story.
South African dance teacher Tracey-Ann Roman recently took to TikTok to demonstrate a new abdominal exercise that helps people get defined abs without going to the gym or doing any sit-ups.
And people have been left utterly stunned, to say the least!
In the video, Tracey-Ann demonstrates the exercise...
As sound-over audio explains to her what to do.
Firstly, she sits on a chair with her back up straight, puts her arms up high, and holds there for 1-2 minutes - or until she starts to feel the muscles contract.
The second phase then involves twenty repetitions of knee raises to bring the leg up nice and slowly while continuing to work the core.
As she demonstrates the movements, the voice-over says, "I am going to teach you how to get a stomach that is thin and trim, with no situps and no gym."
"We are going to work the transversus abdominis muscle."
"The deep core muscle way underneath that supports the pelvis and supports the organs and will help you prevent lower back problems," the voice-over explains.
"Put your arms high, just sit up straight and hold it up there for 1-2 minutes, and you will feel these muscles start to contract."
"The second phase, twenty repetitions, and bring your knee up nice and slowly and you will continue to work that core."
Then, in the final stage of the exercise, Tracey-Ann sits at the end of the chair and moves back and forth.
"Now sit at the end of the chair, arms straight up, keep your arms straight and keep your back straight and bring your body forward and pivot, contract and come back. Pivot from the hips, come back. Every time you go forward, squeeze those abs. You're going to do twenty repetitions."
"So, do those daily and your stomach will love you."
We know what we're going to be trying out first thing in the morning!
