It's been just a matter of days since the Friends Reunion finally dropped and everyone is still super hyped.

But one thing many have been saying is that they're concerned for Matthew Perry.

Now, the Friends Reunion director has addressed the comments.

Keep scrolling to see what he said...

The Friends Reunion is finally here!

But one thing fans are talking about, is how Matthew Perry looked.

Now, Friends is arguably one of the most successful sitcoms of all time.

We were introduced to the Friends gang back in 1994, when Ross (David Schwimmer), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Monica, (Courteney Cox), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) first burst onto our screens.

It was an instant hit...

Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the comedy follows the friends, who live in the same New York apartment block, as they together navigate through the turbulent years of their late twenties.

And we grew to become incredibly attached to these characters...

The show truly made us feel like a member of the Friends gang, even when we were conflicted over whether Ross and Rachel really were on a break or not... FYI they totally were on a break.

The final episode aired in September 2004...

And we watched through our tears as the gang said their final goodbyes to the apartment we had all grown to know and love for the past decade.

It was an emotional rollercoaster, to say the least.

Monica and Chandler were starting a family, Phoebe was newly married, Rachel had a new job in Paris... As with a lot of friendships, the gang had grown apart and were embarking upon their separate journeys.

Oh, and Rachel got off the plane...

Fans rejoiced as Ross and Rachel finally put their differences aside and got back together.

But, fifteen years on from Rachel getting off the plane...

We have never found out what happened to the gang. Did Rachel and Ross stay together? Would Monica and Chandler ever get divorced? Did Joey ever make it as a big actor?

Over the years, there have been a few low-key reunions and a lot of false hope...

Apart from the occasional reunion on talk shows, fans have had their fair share of disappointments when it comes to waiting for a Friends reunion.

A trailer for a Friends movie went viral a couple of years ago, giving superfans false hope that the sitcom was hitting the box office...

But it wasn't to be.

The trailer was quickly confirmed to be fake and, again, our dreams were shattered.

And even the cast have confirmed in the past that a reunion is incredibly unlikely...

Matt Le Blanc left fans heartbroken last year as he rejected calls for the show to return, saying the sitcom simply "wouldn’t be the same" in an interview with the Mail Online. He added, "People want to know what happened to them. But it was about a finite period in a person’s life after college, before you settle down and start a family."

And it isn't just the cast who have their doubts...

The show’s co-creator Marta Kauffman, says she constantly gets "nagged" by fans to bring the sitcom back. "Watch the old ones – there is no way we could win that. And there’s no way it would be satisfying and it’ll never happen. We’ll never do it," she said in an interview with Deadline.

So, yeah... Things didn't look too great on the reunion front...

Many worry that, because Friends was about a group of people in their twenties and thirties, it just wouldn't work following the gang through their forties and fifties.

Well, the news we were all waiting for arrived ...

All of the cast posted the same throwback picture on Instagram confirming the news of an official reunion.

Many fans hoped that the reunion would be scripted...

But sadly, the reunion will simply be a sit-down with the entire cast and crew to just catch up and reminisce on the good times. It still sounds brilliant, though!

Fans were asking a lot of questions...

And thankfully for them (and us), Courteney Cox has revealed exactly what to expect.

Speaking with Kevin Nealon on Hiking with Kevin, Courteney explained what the show would involve...

She said, "So the exciting thing is that we're all going to get together for the first time, in a room, and actually talk about the show, and it's going to be on HBO Max, and I'm so excited."

This will be a first time thing...

"We're going to have the best time. It's going to be great. We really haven't all done that and actually sat there and talked about and reminisced about this incredible experience that we had. It's gonna be fantastic," she went on to explain.

The reunion was originally scheduled to air in May on HBO Max...

Along with the channel releasing all 10 seasons of the sitcom for viewers to watch on-demand.

But bad news wasn't far around the corner...

Due to the pandemic, the Friends reunion was called off "indefinitely," just a week before filming was set to take place.

Naturally, fans were crushed by the news...

No one thought the pandemic could get any worse?!

But as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait...

Because we were given a very special treat.

A first look behind the scenes!

With some photos that have the internet feeling thrilled.

And not only have we been given a sneak peek behind the scenes...

We've also seen an influx of cast pictures in the last few months.

But the one person who has remained absent in recent selfies?

Matthew Perry, or Chandler Bing... Or Miss Chandler Bong.

While the rest of the cast have been working on various projects...

Perry has instead remained out of the spotlight as he deals with health and addiction issues.

People have been left feeling pretty worried about the actor...

Especially after he was seen lunching with Courteney Cox.

Courteney recently posted a selfie from their lunch date...

With a very Monica-Esque caption, writing, "Guess who I had lunch with today...I KNOW!! Could I BE any happier?"

The pair haven't been pictured together in years, so it was a big deal...

Even Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay, commented, "Lucky lucky. #beautifulpeople." While Jennifer, using her freshly activated Instagram account commented, "MATTY!! I LOVE YOU, GUYS" with a series of love heart emojis.

And many were quick to share their Friends quotes...

One Instagram user commented, "Chandler finally learned how to smile in front of the camera", while another wrote, "MY EYES! MY EYES!!"

But, as much as we love to see Monica and Chandler reunited...

There's one thing that many people couldn't help but notice...

Matthew's face.

It just looks... Different. And we can't put our fingers on what it is that's so different. Is it the color of his hair? Has he had cosmetic surgery? Why are his lips that color? The questions are endless.

Matthew looks completely unrecognizable in the selfie...

Which has now been liked over 3 million times.

And people are more than a little worried...

And when the episode finally dropped.

Fans had the same concerns.

The show's producer even opened up about Perry saying he's 'stronger and better' than ever.

More specifically, Kevin Bright, explained:

I talked to [Matthew]. It was great seeing him again. And what people say is what people say. I don't have any to say about that, except it was great to see him. And I think he's very funny on the show. But yes, I think he's OK. He seems stronger and better since the last time I saw him, and excited about going forward.

Good for you Matthew!

Keep up the good work!
