And it’s safe to say that fans are feeling the effects of that Game of Thrones-shaped hole in their lives.

The popular fantasy series had a successful decade-long run, wrapping up after 8 seasons.

The show started out by introducing us to the 9 Great Houses in Westeros; Stark, Greyjoy, Arryn, Baratheon, Tully, Lannister, Martell, Tyrell, and Targaryen.

Following the death of Robert Baratheon, the show depicts a deadly game of control over the 7 Kingdoms of Westeros that ensues.

Fans immediately fell in love with the story and the complex characters.

After 10 long years (a pretty huge commitment) many of us had grown attached to the long list of characters.

But despite the popularity, the ending left many feeling disappointed…

Many fans complained that the events that unfolded in the final series were rushed, as well as criticisms surrounding the deaths and survivals of certain major characters, as well as the eventual ruler of Westeros.

So much so, the finale received the lowest ratings in the show’s history…

Picking up a dire overall rating of 4.2 out of 10 – compared to other episodes in the final series, which have earned respectable 8s and 9s.

Fans were left feeling sold short by the finale, which isn’t entirely surprising…

After all, having had the show in our lives for a decade, it’s not exactly ambitious to think that fans would get a little more than they actually got when it aired for a final time.

Since the show ended, some of our favorite characters have gone on to do great things…

Lena Headey, who played Cersei Lannister, went on to appear in the critically acclaimed movie, Fighting with My Family.

Kit Harington who played Jon Snow has appeared in Eternals, with his on-screen brother Richard Madden.

Then there’s Emilia Clarke, who played the infamous Daenerys Targaryen, who went on to play a variety of roles, one being Kate in the hit festive movie, Last Christmas.

But one star of the show has claimed she’s been unable to carry on her profession after sustaining injuries while on set.

So she’s decided to sue GOT filmmakers…

For $4.8 million!

Thirty-two-year-old stunt performer, Casey Michaels, was playing a character called a wight, similar to a zombie, when the incident occurred.

During one episode she was directed to walk from a roof as though she didn’t know there was a drop below.

The “landing area” was made up of mats and boxes that were meant to cushion her fall.

However, while filming for The Long Night, Michaels said the area wasn’t safe and as a result, she has been unable to work since.

She is suing Fire and Blood Productions Ltd over the incident, in hopes she will be compensated for work she’s missed out on.

Despite her claims, the production’s lawyers have stated that the area was “durable and was not compressed when a stunt performer stepped off onto the mattress and rolled away.”

They are planning on going to trial at the High Court in London.

Stephen Friday, Michaels’ representative has said: “The state of the landing area is in dispute. This is a case that is pleaded in excess of £4m.”

He added: “She was a young stunt performer of considerable potential. We say she had the potential to go on and be a stunt coordinator or a second unit director.”

A date for the case is yet to be given.
