George Clooney Says He Sews His Wife and Kids’ Clothes

George Clooney is more than just a pretty face – and his latest admission about sewing his wife’s clothes proves it!

And, that’s not his only skill that got people talking…

Born in Lexington, Kentucky, George Clooney is known to be one of the world’s best actors.

Clooney’s close cousin got him a little role in a feature film and that made him want to pursue a fully-fledged career in the world of TV and film.

Behind him stands an impressive track record of notorious work including From Dusk Till Dawn, Ocean’s Twelve, Ocean’s Thirteen, and Syriana.

The actor famously founded “Not On Our Watch” – an organization that aims to stop the genocide in Sudan – with his Ocean’s Eleven co-stars, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, and Brad Pitt, and producer Jerry Weintraub.

With much of the funding going through the United Nations World Food Program.

One of the actor’s longtime friends, Rande Gerber, recently told MSNBC that Clooney had invited his closest friends over for dinner one night only to surprise them each with a lavish gift…

Suitcases each filled with a million dollars.

Extravagant doesn’t even describe it.

In a profile with GQ, the actor told the full story of that now-famous gift giving – and it turns out it actually happened.

Clooney explained how the gesture happened just before the premiere of Gravity in 2013.

The movie wound up being a “very good deal” for him, he said, because he was paid based on percentages of box-office revenue.

So he decided to give a little back to those closest to him. He explained:
“And I thought, what I do have are these guys who’ve all, over a period of thirty-five-years, helped me in one way or another.”

He elaborated:
“I’ve slept on their couches when I was broke. They loaned me money when I was broke. They helped me when I needed help over the years. And I’ve helped them over the years.”

So why wait?
“We’re all good friends, and I thought, you know, without them, I don’t have any of this. And we’re all really close, and I just thought basically if I get hit by a bus, they’re all in the will. So why the f*** am I waiting to get hit by a bus?”

Well, according to GQ, Clooney’s research led him to “an undisclosed location” in Los Angeles where pallets of cash are held for sale.
“So Clooney got an old beat-up van that said ‘Florist’ on it, like he was in a heist movie, and he drove downtown, and he got in an elevator with the florist’s van, and he took the van down to the vault and loaded it up with cash,” the GQ reporter Zach Baron wrote in the profile. “He told no one but his assistant ‘and a couple of security guys that were s****ing themselves.'”

Clooney gave a heartwarming speech about how much they had meant to him and said he wanted to give back, before presenting them with the suitcases.
“We open it up, and it’s $1 million in $20 bills,” Gerber told MSNBC. “Every one of us – fourteen of us – got a million dollars. Every single one of us. We were in shock. Like, ‘What is this?'”

But as you can see, Clooney seems to be a pretty well-rounded man on and off-screen, so it’s no wonder why he has so many fans.

But his latest admission might be Clooney’s best yet.

It turns out, he’s quite the handy man.

The star recently spilled all in an interview…

“I wood stained the entire interior, exterior, and all the furniture of the house,” he told AARP The Magazine.

He continued.

“All of it. It was getting dingy, and I had buckets of stain, and I was, like, ‘Well, what else am I going to do?’ It made me feel better.”

“And I put chicken wire all around the dog yard.”

“I do a lot of sewing the kids’ clothes and my wife’s dress that tore a couple of times.”

“I was a bachelor for a long time and didn’t have any money, and you have to learn how to repair things.”

“If we were on an island and you had to pick somebody to help you survive, I would pick me.”
Us too, George!
