Justin Timberlake has yet again caused controversy...

And this time, it is because of his "ignorant" post about George Floyd's death. But firstly, let's start from the beginning...

It all happened on Monday last week...

Passers-by in Minneapolis witnessed and filmed 2 police officers "arresting" George Floyd for an assumed forgery incident.

Police found George matching a suspect's description in his car.

Even though he didn't resist arrest, one of the officers got him on the ground and pinned him there by pressing their knee into his neck.

This position was clearly very painful for him...

"Please, please, I can't breathe," George can be heard begging in harrowing footage as the officers remain standing.

George's nose began to bleed...

"My stomach hurts. My neck hurts. Everything hurts," he moans as passers-by begin to gather and repeatedly tell the officer to stop leaning on him.

Multiple witnesses are arguing with the officers when he starts to lose consciousness...

"He's not f****** moving!" one witness shouts as another says, "Get the f*** off him, he isn't moving!" One of the officers responds with, "This is why you don't do drugs, kids."

After around 4 minutes of the officer kneeling on him, George is completely unresponsive.

An ambulance arrives, the paramedics check his pulse and move his body onto a stretcher - he was later pronounced dead in the hospital.

George was only forty-six-years-old...

And he did not deserve to die.

The police officers involved have shown absolutely no emotion, regret, or urgency...

And a huge amount of backlash has hit the headlines.

Four officers involved have been fired.

And Derek Chauvin, who was the officer responsible for George's death, has been arrested for murder.

The haunting footage of George's death has been circulating online...

And it has left millions of people both heartbroken and disgusted.

People all around the world have been left furious over George's unjustified death.

But many are feeling completely hopeless due to the fact that this blatant racism is happening more and more in our country.

When will this violence stop?

And when our country acknowledge the huge problem we have with racism?

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey addressed the incident in a press conference on Tuesday morning, referring to events in the video as "wrong at every level."

"Being black in America should not be a death sentence. For 5 minutes we watched as a white officer pressed his knee to the neck of a black man. For 5 minutes," he said.

"When you hear someone calling for help, you are supposed to help. This officer failed in the most basic human sense. What happened on Chicago and 38th, this last night, is simply awful."

Protests have been held in George's memory all around the country...

We have never before seen anything escalate the way in which these protests have.

The protests started on Wednesday last week...

With the permission of the mayor, who allowed them to go out, thousands upon thousands of protesters took to the streets of Minneapolis on Wednesday to express their hurt and their anger at the injustice.

But things very quickly turned violent in many different states.

As thousands of people took to the streets across the country, the police force became involved when shops started getting looted and police cars were being attacked.

Police officers in riot gear pelted the crowds with tear gas and rubber bullets...

And when protestors began fighting back, things turned very ugly and the mass brawl continued into the night.

Our country's problem with police brutality has well and truly been outlined in the last few days...

And the horrifying and unnecessary actions of police officers have been shared repeatedly on social media - shocking the world to its core.

Celebrities have been using their fame to speak out about the #blacklivesmatter campaign...

Including the likes of Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, LeBron James, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and many more.

Fans have been praising the rich and famous for using their platforms to try and make a difference...

But, of course, the one person who hasn't been praised is Justin Timberlake.

It seems that the singer just can't catch a break...

Back in February when Ahmaud Arbery was shot and killed by a police officer, Justin caused outrage by disabling the comments in his Instagram post about Ahmaud's death.

Fans weren't impressed by a white man deciding to close his comments...

Even though Justin was trying to touch on the subject of #blacklivesmatter.

And now, Justin has been slammed yet again following his post about George Floyd.

Along with a heartfelt Instagram post about George's death, Justin tweeted this - asking for donations for the Minneapolis protestors that is "combatting the harms of incarceration by paying bail for low-income individuals who cannot otherwise afford."

Seems harmless enough, right?

Wrong. Many people have hit out at the singer for "funding rioters" and sending out the wrong message.

Many feel that Justin's offer is disrespectful...

And that he is basically offering to pay for those who have destroyed communities through the protests.

Sadly, there have been many people taking things too far during these protests...

And fans believe that Justin's message is going to encourage the violent rioters to continue unnecessarily destroying communities and local businesses that don't deserve this kind of treatment... at all.

Many have pointed out that Justin is funding "the wrong side of things."

There have been so many victims of the violent protests in the last week, including an innocent police officer trying to help others who sadly lost his life trying to calm down the rioters.

Many have called for Justin to support those affected by the protests and rioters...

Including small communities that have been completely destroyed by the rioters.

But Justin had his fair share of supporters...

And people are baffled at the fact that he has been slammed so much for offering to bail out the protestors.

Not all of the protestors behind bars are there for violence...

So many innocent bystanders were brutally arrested for no reason, and now they're stuck in jail with an excessive bond that they cannot afford.

We're living in an extremely turbulent climate right now...

And it seems that no matter what will happen, someone will be left feeling angry. Keep scrolling to read about the black CNN reporter who was arrested live on air during the protests last week...
