Last month, Chrissy Teigen dominated headlines for all the wrong reasons. She's been a beloved Twitter presence for years - but internet sleuths dug deep into her problematic internet past and they did not like what they found.

The most shocking discovery was a whole host of tweets Teigen had sent to a then sixteen-year-old Courtney Stodden, telling them to kill themself. Other horrific tweets include one from January 2011 which read, "Lindsay [Lohan] adds a few more slits to her wrists when she sees Emma Stone."

Since the cyberbullying scandal surfaced, Teigen took a step back from public life, although she did share an apology on Medium earlier this month. "Hi, all. It has been a VERY humbling few weeks,'" she wrote. "I know I've been quiet, and lord knows you don't want to hear about me, but I want you to know I've been sitting in a hole of deserved global punishment, the ultimate "sit here and think about what you've done. Not a day, not a single moment has passed where I haven't felt the crushing weight of regret for the things I've said in the past."

However, it seems there have been far-reaching consequences for Teigen's past actions. Her range of cookware was pulled from stores, and she also lost her role in her Netflix show. "Chrissy Teigen has decided to step away from a guest voiceover role in one episode of the upcoming second season of Never Have I Ever," a spokesperson for the Netflix series said at the time.

But it's now been confirmed that Teigen has been replaced by none other than Gigi Hadid. The model took to Instagram to post a video promoting her role in the upcoming series. Hadid's role is as a voiceover, narrating for the character of high school hunk Paxton Hall-Yoshida (played by Darren Barnet). "This is Paxton Hall-Yoshida. He's a sixteen-year-old boy from Sherman Oaks, California. And I am model, designer, activist, and a former sixteen-year-old from California, Gigi Hadid," Hadid can be heard saying in the teaser clip.

Hadid posted the clip to her 68 million followers with the caption, "Had the BEST time getting to narrate a new episode of @neverhaveiever — I got your back, Pax! Check out Season 2, NOW on @netflix !!!! Big love to @mindykaling & the whole NHIE team!" And it seems fans are similarly excited, with comments reading "Can't wait to watch!" "This is amazing! TYSM for being a part of our show!" and "I'm so proud of you! Your voice is amazing!" It seems Netflix's decision has been an unmitigated success.

The new season of Never Have I Ever is now streaming on Netflix, complete with Hadid's starring role! Will you be tuning in?
