And now thousands have signed a petition to reinstate the controversial star...

But her most notable role was from The Mandalorian.

When it first hit screens, The Mandalorian completely won over viewers.

However, that success might have been tarnished by Gina Carano's latest antics.

Things have gotten pretty heated on social media lately, given the fact actress was posting some pretty controversial stuff on her profiles.

Calls for her to be fired started pretty early on.

She didn't set herself up well when she shared conspiracy-focused memes and tweets from her account.

Not only that, but she also liked posts disparaging Black Lives Matter...

And the use of the correct pronouns.

And it didn't stop there...

From ridiculing mask mandates, to emphasizing (without hard proof) that there was "voter fraud" going on at the elections, Carano really managed to ruffle more than a few feathers.

Her latest stunt on Instagram also saw her comparing being a republican to being a "Jew during the Holocaust..."

​Problematic isn't even the word for disgusting comparisons such as this one.

Things have gotten so bad that a spokesperson for Lucasfilm spoke out to let people know that the actress is no longer employed by them.

Things have gone from bad to worse for the actress.

In a statement obtained by io9, a spokesperson outlined their company's views on the matter, saying this:

"Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future."

They continued:

"Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable."

But now, Carano has hit back, revealing she's signed a new movie deal...

And people have very mixed views...

Carano has now revealed that she signed up with Ben Shapiro's media outlet The Daily Wire.

Carano said: "The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams - to develop and produce my own film - come true.

"I cried out and my prayer was answered. I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob.

"I have only just begun using my voice, which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same."

She added: "They can't cancel us if we don't let them."

According to reports, Carano will both produce and star in the film, which will only be available to the site's members.

Daily Wire will also partner up with producer Dallas Sonnier for the movie.

Shapiro, a right-wing political commentator, said he was thrilled with getting Carano on board.

He said: "We could not be more excited to be working with Gina Carano, an incredible talent dumped by Disney and Lucasfilm for offending the authoritarian Hollywood Left."

"This is what Daily Wire exists to do: provide an alternative not just for consumers, but for creators who refuse to bow to the mob.

"We're eager to bring Gina's talent to Americans who love her, and we're just as eager to show Hollywood that if they want to keep canceling those who think differently, they'll just be helping us build the Xwing to take down their Death Star."

And now a petition has launched.
