After people slammed Gordon Ramsay for his $24 full English breakfast, the hot-headed chef responded the only way he knows how to – with pure and utter savagery.
The celebrity chef really didn’t hold back when addressing people’s offense over the price of his traditional English breakfast.
Now, usually, Gordon Ramsay is one of the most celebrated chefs in the world.
The British cook is well known for his short temper and no-nonsense cooking style, but it’s safe to say that he’s pretty damn good at what he does – which is cooking.
One of his most popular shows is Kitchen Nightmares, a show wherein Gordan helps restaurant owners to revamp their crumbling kitchens and transform them into the best places to eat in America.
But of course, Kitchen Nightmares never falls short in its bad language and temper tantrums. Let’s not even get started on Hell’s Kitchen…
When it comes to cooking amazing food, Gordon isn’t afraid to put people well and truly in their place.
His skills in the kitchen are renowned worldwide and he’s known for not being afraid of trying new things.
With his colorful language and explosive temper in the kitchen, Gordon is forever coming under fire for his behavior towards other chefs.
Despite his foul-mouthed rants being the best selling point on his TV shows, many have labeled the chef as a “bully,” and have slammed him for giving actual chefs the wrong kind of reputation.
Well, it’s his cooking.
Despite his fiery temper, it is undeniable that Gordon is an extremely talented cook.
And, thanks to the thirty-five Gordon Ramsay restaurants scattered across the globe, many fans are able to actually experience a taste of Gordon’s dining.
But, for most people, the world-class cuisine is totally worth it.
Many have criticized a number of Gordon’s menu offerings for being “disappointing” and “overpriced.”
In his Las Vegas burger restaurant, Gordon offers a “Wagyu Burger,” which features a beef patty, seared Wagyu sirloin, truffle Pecorino cheese, cep mayonnaise, and fresh black truffle.
It is priced at an eyewatering £80 ($106), fries not included.
A delicate plate of turkey wellington, pigs in blankets, cabbage, and chopped up sprouts costs £140 ($186) per person.
Though this price features a number of different items, including canapes, starters, main courses, and desserts, as well as wine choices and cocktails, many believed it to be completely outrageous.
Earlier this year, diners took to social media to mock Gordon’s minuscule version of a traditional English breakfast, which was available for a staggering £19 ($24).
People were not impressed with the breakfast, which is available on the menu at London’s Savoy Grill…
And many slammed the chef for his “pathetic” attempt, with some even sending photos of their own full English attempts.
And, as you’d expect, he didn’t hold back.
He said this:
“I stand by it. I swear by it. And it is one meal that I would ever eat as a last supper. It has to be a full English breakfast with extra baked beans.”
“And you know what? If you’re worried about the price, you can’t f***ing afford it.”
