These adorable creatures are basically the best things on earth. If you’re ever feeling down in the dumps, a dog is guaranteed to make you feel better.

Whether they’re causing mischief, giving us those puppy eyes when they want a treat, or taking up the entire sofa, many of us couldn’t live without our furry friends.

It’s hard to imagine a life without having a pooch to come home to.

In an age where the internet is so divided, there’s one thing we can all agree on…

How utterly amazing (and adorable) our four-legged friends are.

From lifting your mood to even giving you a bit of company – they’re truly an adorable addition to the family.

Our precious pooches are only with us for a portion of our lives.

The average life span of a dog is just ten to thirteen years.

Which also means we must make their lives as enjoyable as possible.

They are so good to us, aren’t they!

And one man and a golden retriever in the U.K have recently captured hearts all around the world.

Many parts of the U.K have been engulfed in heavy rainfall over the last few days, which means many dogs will have gone without their usual amount of walkies.

And it was unexpectedly caught in the heavy rain. But luckily for the wet pooch, the kind security guard was on hand.

And he stayed there firmly until the dog’s owners returned. How cute?!

And many have been quick to praise the security guard for his selfless act to keep the dog dry as, in his own words, “you never know how dogs feel about the rain.”

And after a lot of digging, the dog was soon identified as Freddie, who is owned by David Cherry.

Way too adorable!

And he seems overjoyed with how many people he made smile through his kind actions.

And we’re sure the amount of internet attention he has gained will more than likely get him one!
